@Oldraver Mica is by far the most ferocious Savannah I have, she's definitely the most serval out of any of them. She made light work of an enormous squirrel not long ago, she's not one to be messed with

Justonedayatatime11 · 10/08/2021 11:48

I wouldn't want to mess with those teeth, her claws are bad enough!

Wow! Mica could give TC a run for his money. I am imagining all the little birds in Just's garden hopping about excitedly watching the contest not knowing whether to support Mica or the sparrowhawk. I've only seen a sparrowhawk once in real life and if I were a bird I would take my chances with a cat over a sparrowhawk any day. At least cats spend quite a lot of the day asleep!

Oh my, yes the thought of her claws

Ive just got out the shower and thought ooh stingey legs, and looked down at all the kitten claw marks as they think my legs are for climbing on

A Savannahs claws though....

Ollie is not impressed with work

What a perfect frowny face Smile

NotMyCat · 10/08/2021 20:44

He makes me laugh every day how he perched on my desk Grin
I know he looks a bit scruffy, he's lost muscle recently but the vet says it's just with getting older Sad

coastergirl · 10/08/2021 21:19

He certainly looks unimpressed!

Oldraver · 10/08/2021 21:19

Have you done something to upset him

NotMyCat · 10/08/2021 21:31

@Oldraver

Have you done something to upset him
I only gave him 4 meals and tea was 15 minutes late...
cricketmum84 · 10/08/2021 22:07

Betsy was sat on my desk earlier and one of her whiskers just fell out!!

Is this normal??

I have literally owned cats since I was a foetus and I have never seen a whisker fall out....

Defiantly41 · 10/08/2021 22:23

@cricketmum84 yes, I regularly find whiskers on the bed, floor, dressing table.

Now she is 15, one of my two pure black cats grows an occasional white whisker, you can see it growing and then it falls out and regrows

NotMyCat · 10/08/2021 22:29

Ollie has lost them before, I found one on my pillow! He's all snotty today, I think from sticking his nose in the neighbours water fountain Hmm

TheSilveryPussycat · 10/08/2021 23:52

I used to love finding whiskers around the house. DCat, being nearly all black, started with black ones, which went white with age Smile

TheLongRider · 10/08/2021 23:56

I saw this recently, it's true!

Exactly, time is very flexible to them. Dinner 15 minutes late = eternity. Taking 3 months to settle into a new house = short period of time.

Oldraver · 11/08/2021 07:50

Well mine are settling on, still occasionally skittish at new things. I think the postwomen got them yesterday as they came racing in the living room and I've just had the temerity to turn on the shower and the scarpered

Came out to find two little heads poking out from under the bed, Trev came out first but Trina had to be told it was ok

The did come straight to me on the loo this morn and weren't like er who are you

Oh, my. That is so funny and so true.

Good for Trev and Trevina for being so bold!

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/08/2021 08:41

Trina sent Trev out to see if it’s safe. If anyone’s going to get murdered it won’t be Trina.

AlfonsoTheMango · 11/08/2021 08:44

That made me laugh. Good on Trev for being willing to take one for the team, what with Cat Eating Monsters lurking around every corner and all.

Oldraver · 11/08/2021 09:52

She is by far the more clever of the two, OH calls Trev Ernie 2 as he's not quite so bright but bold and snit if a bully to his sis
Supersimkin2 · 11/08/2021 09:56

Whiskers are really lucky!!!

I keep Mr Cs in my jewellery box. And Capns. One day, when cloning goes on yellow sticker, everyone on the thread is getting two nutritionally challenging pets for Xmas.

Supersimkin2 · 11/08/2021 09:57

Since you ask, yes, whiskers do shed like hair but not that often cos there aren’t that many of them.

Supersimkin2 · 11/08/2021 09:58

I’ll try and edit out the M&S gene but no promises.

cricketmum84 · 11/08/2021 11:04

Wow I can't believe I've never seen stray whiskers hanging around before! Maybe I should have kept it. It's in the bin now.
