So daughter gets cat. House cat. Arranges for spay. Cat escapes, comes back 2 days later. Yes we know where this is going.
So a litter of 6 were born yesterday.
Would love one myself but have a dog.
I will , for those interested at looking at cute kitten pictures, add a picture daily as I can.
I don't want this thread turning into a irresponsible cat owner thread.
I'm sharing the love of cuteness in these dark and depressing times.

My mind is being blown with the fact cats can conceive more than once 😳

Learn something new everyday!

Oh my word thank you for these updates and photos to bring joy in these dark times. Just so much cuteness and mummy cat is doing so well!

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/02/2021 16:56

Some humans can if they’ve got a bi-furcate (might be spelling that wrong) uterus.

TwoHoots74 · 25/02/2021 17:04

Omg. I'm in love 😻

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 26/02/2021 13:13

Oh couldn't you just eat them all up. Their iccle feetsies and tiny tails😍😍😍😍😍. Mummy looks so proud. They'll be even more adorable when they start walking. Its the cutest thing ever when they walk around with their tails stuck up in the air.Grin

I love the way baby animals smell like candy floss. Grin😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘😘

Bit belated and a bit blurry. They are slightly more mobile, crawling. Starting to peep as well. And very fluffy!

It's so cute they way they all bundle together, I see my favourite has nabbed the best spot in the middle!

LST · 28/02/2021 13:10

She has now ventured out the garden to the 'backs' loads of over grown grass and weeds. Turns out she can't jump back into the garden so I've had to prop a fence panel up! Haha.

He is lovely!

CassandraCross · 28/02/2021 19:42

Juno is utterly adorable, no wonder your daughter is going to keep him/her. Although are you sure you are not going to be sneaking Juno home in your pocket?Grin

drinkingwineoutofamug · 28/02/2021 19:45

I did see if he would fit 😂

The little open mouth. Theyre just like human babies learning to talk.
Grrrrghhhhhh, I feel a huge surge of cute aggression coming on.

GuppytheCat · 01/03/2021 12:04

Is your DD in frequent touch with a vet or rescue about them? Although they need handling as little as possible so as not to stress out the mother, they should be weighed daily to check how they're growing.

With such a big litter, someone is probably getting the best of the milk and the smallest may not be getting much - it gets self-reinforcing after a while.

(Our cat is a runt of six. Mum really couldn't be bothered to lie around waiting for her to scramble through the ranks to get going once she'd already fed her favourites.)

GuppytheCat · 01/03/2021 12:08

Also, I see they're a week old now, so they'll need a kitten-safe wormer next weekend (Panacur via syringe is what our rescue vet would issue, and good luck with getting it into the kittens rather than all down your front).

drinkingwineoutofamug · 01/03/2021 14:16

Thank you @GuppytheCat for the info. Daughter speaks to the vets. They didn't mention about weighing them though so will let her know. They are going to the vets next week for a check.
They have kitten milk and syringes if needed

@drinkingwineoutofamug

This is what you and your daughter have to look forward to!

About 8 months ago a cat showed up on my Dsis back patio and was quite hungry...she fed the cat and gave her water and a few pats and cuddles and off the cat went....Next day my Dsis hears a loud meow coming from the front porch....she opened the door and lo and behold there was the cat ...but this time she had brought her 5 kittens with her! I guess she felt she had found a loving home for her babiesConfused.
Of course, my Dsis and her DH quickly rounded them all up, brought them into the house, and set up a nursery as the kittens were still nursing. Off DH zoomed to the shops for catfood, litter boxes, etc.
Next day they were all off to the vet for a check up and an appointment was made for momma cat to get spayed and subsequent appointments for surgeries for the kitties at the appropriate time. After a few days, mummy got fed up with the kittens following her around screaming "we're hungry, mummy!" and decided it was time for weaning. She took off running the next time she was let outside and has only come back to check on the kittens from afar.
DSis decided they would keep them all....yesterday she admitted that the kittens were a much needed blessing during these tumultuous covid lockdown times..they've brought tonnes and tonnes of joy and laughter. The attached photo is how they greet her at the back door every time she comes homeSmile

Aah that's lovely Sweetpea1532, so nice to have welcoming party waiting for you when you get home (even if they only want you to resume your serving duties).
