Just a bit cute

So daughter gets cat. House cat. Arranges for spay. Cat escapes, comes back 2 days later. Yes we know where this is going.
So a litter of 6 were born yesterday.
Would love one myself but have a dog.
I will , for those interested at looking at cute kitten pictures, add a picture daily as I can.
I don't want this thread turning into a irresponsible cat owner thread.
I'm sharing the love of cuteness in these dark and depressing times.

my dog got attacked by a cat today , dog will probably woof a different story .
Any way . Mum is eating like a horse. Really good with the kittens . Like to take time out lying in her favourite spot in the window.
Daughter is keeping the little grey kitten, runt of the litter. We have called him/her Juno .
How old are they when you can sex them?

Fluffy , her pride more than anything. She tried to style it out. 2 bite marks to the shoulder and a paw swipe mark to her collar. Teach her to sniff around hedges 😬
Didn't stop her ice skating on the spot 5 mins later when she saw another .

Future reference though, a cat or dog for that matter can still be spayed if you suspect a pregnancy in the early weeks.

We had a rescue cat who had apparently been spayed. It turned out she hadn’t been🙄 and when the vet spayed her, she was in very early pregnancy so definitely can be done.

They’re gorgeous though, I’ll have them all. 🤣

Make sure mum gets spayed as soon as she can though.

They're adorable. The grey one looks like it has a fever coat (as do a couple of the others, but not so strongly) - if so, it will became darker with age.

They are beautiful. I rescue cats and couldn't resist any of them 😻

She will be done. They all go the vets in a couple of weeks for a check and to reorganise the spay . Mum on house arrest . Windows firmly shut.

It's when a kitten is born with a paler, more silvery coat than it should have (eg if it's genetically a black cat but is born with silver fur on parts of its body). It's usually because the mother goes through some kind of stress in her pregnancy.

The kitten on the left in the first of these photos has a fever coat - his head is black but body fur is silvery. The second photo is him as an adult, with his true coat colour.

2 possible fathers. One hanging around the back yard and 1 across the road lying in a sun patch!

Gorgeous photos, I remember how fun kittens are!

The dog is being very cute, she’s obviously very proud of her plushie toy.

Both toms could be dad, they can conceive from different dads in each uterine horn.

A cat can have kittens from two different fathers in the same litter, that might explain the silver grey kitten (my favourite, is that the one your daughter is keeping and you have called Juno?)

The kitten puddle picture is adorable, you can't quite work out where one ends and another begins!
