Older boy licking nipple

202 replies

bookshop1 · 31/01/2021 19:47

For the last week or so my 16 year old boy has been licking his nipple. I keep catching him and telling him to stop, which he does, but then catch him again later (2-3 times a day so it's not constant). He's going bald around it, but nipple doesn't look red/weepy/bloody.

He did it for a while a couple of years ago and nipple became very red and inflamed, and then he stopped and it got better.

Have wondered if he's stressed, but can't think of anything that could be causing it, although we did get a new washing machine a few days ago so could be the stress of that? He's generally very chilled. He has been a bit quieter the last couple of days

Anyone had similar/any ideas why he could be doing it, or any tips on something which may calm him?

Anything to say about the nipple-licking?

HandsFaceSpaceHopper · 31/01/2021 20:43

@QueenArseClangers

Probably the stress of his GCSES Smile

🤣😂🤣

Benjispruce2 · 31/01/2021 20:44

Well obvs but I thought it was a child with sen licking his own nipple!

Sparklfairy · 31/01/2021 20:44

I read the title and didn't think the same as you lot.

Instead I thought OP meant older boyfriend. I got images of a greying, saggy old man licking his nipples in some kind of bizarre fetish Confused

I can't unsee it.

@HebeMumsnet

Evening, everyone.

It does look like there's been a mistake here.

OP, if you'd like us to move this to The Dog House or The Litter Tray just let us know.

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 For a straight faced comment
Benjispruce2 · 31/01/2021 20:45

How do we know it’s a pet?

MiddleClassProblem · 31/01/2021 20:45

Nah, I don’t think the OP intended it to be misleading. It’s a total train of thought post just missing the vital ingredient.

AngelDelightUK · 31/01/2021 20:45

I can’t believe the OP hasn’t been back to tell us!!!

SwanShaped · 31/01/2021 20:45

Brilliant!

HandsFaceSpaceHopper · 31/01/2021 20:46

@lozengeoflove

Was utterly horrified reading your first sentence, OP. My mind immediately conjured up a scenario in which your older boy, 16, was licking your nipples. Now excuse me while I go to bleach my thoughts.

I thought that first too. Thought he was sneaking a lick when she was breastfeeding a baby Confused

Mamasaurus123 · 31/01/2021 20:46

Soo intrigued 🤷‍♀️

Benjispruce2 · 31/01/2021 20:46

@RootyT00t start what?

bookshop1 · 31/01/2021 20:48

Oh bloody hell

He is a cat

Thought I was posting in the litter tray hence no specific mention of species in the post....and I didn't come back asap because there's less traffic over there so wasn't expecting 100 replies while I was eating dinner......

@HebeMumsnet please could this be moved to the litter tray although I think it may be a little late for any reasonable replies on this issue Blush

I was wondering how much chest hair a 16-year-old would have to be balding around it due to licking! And that he did the same a couple of years ago! Shock

Benjispruce2 · 31/01/2021 20:49

Grin for op. Phew! I work with SEN children. Just wondered.

ghostyslovesheets · 31/01/2021 20:50

but IS HE stressed by his GCSE's? Poor kitty

DogsSausages · 31/01/2021 20:50

Try feliway, if its sore maybe a bodysuit, call the vet nurse for advice. Hope your kitty gets better soon

Hazelflies · 31/01/2021 20:50
