Nemo was out chasing snowballs this morning.

Sybil's been making a spectacle of herself today rolling around while playing with a catnip mouse.

I'm in love with the MN kitties!

Ollie should post in AIBU and everyone will agree he isn't.
Nemo looks fabulous against the white snow and Sybil looks fabulous against the red carpet.

I adopted the baby in October and the middle child is finally deigning to go into the same room as him. She still hisses and growls, but he doesn't seem bothered. I hope this is the start of her accepting him, although I am remembering the struggles of trying to find a comfortable sleeping position when I have one cat snuggled against my back, one on my feet, and one behind my knees.

He's got quite big, 3.8kg of skinny muscle and his favourite thing is being carried around in your arms.

Boycat has finally realised that following me around the house all morning crying piteously isn't going to persuade me not to go to work.

TBH I was tempted not to go in yesterday; not to keep poor separation anxiety ridden Boycat company, but because I had my Covid jab Friday lunchtime and I felt like SHIT. Managed to stagger round the town centre asking people to keep their safe distance from each other and nagging queues to line up nicely down the side of buildings rather than block the pedestrianised street, then gave up about 3pm while I was still capable of driving myself home in one piece.

Ironically, I should persuade people who chat to me and are skeptical about the vaccination to go and get the jab as soon as they are eligible.

Back on the streets again today, though feeling a little better than yesterday & hopefully it should be warmer.

@Allergictoironing Dh is CEV and had his Wednesday, I thought he’d be bed ridden for a week but he had one day in bed then cracked on with diy. Which means I also have to crack on with diy 😭. His glands are up but that’s it.

@Fluffycloudland77 I gather that under 60s are more likely to have a reaction to the jab. In general, for those who do have a reaction it only lasts a couple of days at most. I'm still tired, a bit shivery and feeling sort of not with it this morning, but not quite as bad as yesterday.

I think part of my problem is that we are out all day in this biting wind which drains you at the best of times, and having only been at this job properly just over a week I'm still getting acclimatised to being out & on my feet all day.

Mixed it with some natures menu and he's eaten some and stropped off to bed

Has Ollie's shouting calmed down?

Um. Not really? But after speaking to the vet we are prioritising weight. They've suggested a few supplements but he's so fussy with food, we don't want him to stop eating
Hopefully the steroid jab at the end of the month will help and they will weigh and review him then

Capn enjoyed his fave M&S meal 🥘- in an act of love that knows no bounds it was not reduced - and I’ve just vanished a family size bar of Extrafine Belgian Choc.

Armpits have been ceremonially tickled with a toothbrush, and we are currently resting so as not to overdo the excitement.

This morning he held my hand in both massive fluffy paws and just looked at me and purred and purred, wouldn’t let go.
