I've been looking at the Kitty Cafe online shop. They've got some gorgeous stuff on there but a lot of it is eye-wateringly expensive!

Nice stuff alright but I'm imagining it after a few months of use, by then the sisal rope will be in shreds, shedding fibres onto the cream carpet. If you have a black cat, the cute cream bed will be a sludgey grey colour because of the entwined cat hairs that won't wash/brush out. The perspex will be scratched and the wood veneer chipped. It'll look as if you spent £20 in Aldi!

I'm almost certain that the cats in the tree are photoshopped or taxidermied.

I'd hope for a thousand quid you'd get the cats thrown in too taxidermied or not.

I doubt it. More likely it will be viewed with suspicion from afar for a few days, then avoided for a week or two before being completely ignored for the rest of eternity. So you may as well have spent £20 on it in Aldi 😁.

Tbf they have got some nice affordable stuff too. They do a hoodie with cat ears - I've been told if I do get one I'm not allowed to wear it if I'm with DH or DS. I bloody well would though!

The trick is probably to buy a tree, build it and put unbreakable decorative accessories on it, tell the cat off every time it goes near it. It’s guaranteed the cat will climb to the top then.

You can buy sisal rope but it’s wrapping it around the post tight enough.

Barbebengal on Instagram has a huge thick rope that looks like its proper ships rope, it’s either replaced regularly or it’s very hardwearing.

Am triumphant as it happens - albeit dripping with cold.

Last week at 8pm some pig nicked my phone out of my pocket while
was collecting my Zara sale bargain, and me and the newsagent chased him across the park till he caved in and gave it back. Felt like Chuck D and Flava, us.

Unfortunately he had used it, and I forgot to wipe it before I cradled it lovingly in my arms and rang several people up.

It is with me now, my presssussssh. It must have been the mugger as I've had less contact with humans in the past week than Terry Waite in his prime.
