Morning humans. Too early to be awake, retired back to bed

View of the river this morning to compare with yesterday. It's probably only come up 2-3 inches but means that the road on the island opposite is now under water.
Fingers crossed we have dry weather over the next few weeks.

The cats will be bringing in fish Grumpy!

Paws turned up for lunch, found the window shut and patted the patio door until I opened it. He's taken one look at the food and stropped off so I'm not sure what was wrong with it

Paws is back, came in backwards through the window and is happily crunching the food he turned down earlier

Nmc nearly came in earlier. He poked his head around the door but Walter chased him off. He really is a lot like Bertie. Similar mannerisms!

It’s ok for them to wake us up though isn’t it?. But if we so much as shift twice in 5 minutes the ears go back and you just know their thinking “have you quite finished? I’m trying to sleep here”.

@Fluffycloudland77 oh yes. I nap after work (damn thyroid) and Ollie likes to wake up and wail at me while I'm "an hour Ollie. That's all I ask for"

Afternoon naps are incredibly good for you. I do the same. Cap'n scratches the sofa under my head when the Simpsons is about to start.

🙋🏼‍♀️ Another afternoon napper here! I'm having a late one today 'cause I've just done some cooking for my best mate. Leroy settled down on the chair in the kitchen where he very rarely sits so I assume I was under observation.

He's come upstairs with me now.

You changed behaviour so he had to observe for future reference.

I had to thump dh on the back to clear a chest infection once and you could see Asbo watching slightly alarmed that he would be next.

They like routines to be adhered to.

I haven't put the Christmas decorations back in the loft yet, and my littlest boy keeps playing with them. This morning, Walter settled himself in a festive bed!

I love an afternoon nap btw.

Dn once came downstairs after using the loo with a bauble in her hand “I found this up there” it was the cats. It was spring 🤷🏻‍♀️
