Lovely photo of Walter Coastergirl. He looks like it is perfectly normal to have a tinsel bed Grin

nettie434 · 04/02/2021 21:25

Grr - was meant to be 'he thinks it is perfectly normal'

coastergirl · 04/02/2021 21:50

I'm pretty sure he does think that.

I might hadn't asked this before but I'm not sure. Does anybody else have a cat with a constantly cold, wet nose? It drives me crazy because he nudges me all the time and I automatically push him away because it feels horrible!

TheLongRider · 05/02/2021 00:03

Yup! Hobbes has a wet nose. He always kisses me on the cheek and I have to dry myself off with a tissue.

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/02/2021 07:58

Some of ours have had wet, some dry.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 05/02/2021 11:13

I think Lenny is making a statement about his garden being rather more moist than usual.
(Pleased to report that river levels have been dropping)

Matt has a wet nose. I had to discreetly wipe off a kiss yesterday. I thought wet noses were supposed to be a sign of good health in a cat.
I heard him throwing up in the night and came down this morning to discover he’d helpfully managed to do it in his food bowl so there was no messy carpet to clean. Smile
Makes up for last night when he deliberately did a huge wee on the bathroom floor right next to the litter tray. Confused

YesItsMeIDontCare · 05/02/2021 12:18

My friend came round for a chat. Timed it with Leroy's walk time so we could chat while he did his usual meandering... oh noooooo. How dare I give my attention to anybody else! He was back in within 5 minutes.

Just got back - aaaaand guess who wants to go for a walk. Aaaaand guess where I am now. 🙄

QueenPawPaws · 05/02/2021 13:15

I'm off for a covid jab tomorrow Smile it's like an exciting trip out! Although the hub is only a mile away Sad

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/02/2021 13:42

We’ve got to go 15miles for dhs covid jab, our nearest vaccination centre is less than a mile away 🤨.

I can actually see it from the landing window.

Leroy is becoming a bit set in his ways isn’t he?. It’s gone from free thinking man about town to “I always have Horlicks at 22.15 precisely then I listen to the shipping report and go to bed”.

Pretty much! By 2:50pm he was yelling at me to go upstairs for nap time 😂

To be fair, he did go running to my friend to greet her with a nose boop and a mrrrp when he first saw her which was very sweet and made her day 😊.

QueenPawPaws · 05/02/2021 20:01

Sorry @Supersimkin2 we have a new burger place opened... and the chicken strips are amazing Grin

I can't bear it. It looks beyond toothsome.

Why is life so cruel Grin

You deserve it cos of your jab. Get a massive breakfast in as well in case you are too weak afterwards to hold a fork Grin

I'm not CEV any more - they've changed the rules. No diff round here, I'll be getting one about the same time on account of being over 50.

Capn 's rejected food for 48 and just given M&S chicken breast the finger. Hmm.

Is trying for Dreamies tho.

QueenPawPaws · 05/02/2021 20:57

Grin we do seem to have a range of decent takeaways despite being up north
Dumb and dumber seem to be plotting... something

Chicken love at work.

coastergirl · 06/02/2021 00:19

Is Cap'n ok?

I'm getting my jab in just over a week. Unexpected but so welcome. Front line health/social care worker. I work in a specialist school for children with autism. Our kids cannot socially distance and have some horribly unhygienic habits. 🙈 I'm so grateful to be getting it!

nettie434 · 06/02/2021 01:04

Good luck with your jabs QueenPawPaws Coastergirl and Mr Fluffycloudland77.

That photo of Ollie and Paws is 💖. Perhaps they are plotting to have some takeaway?

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/02/2021 09:16

Is the Captain eating now Super?.

We’ve no decent takeaways or naice pubs here Sad. I miss the days of “leave the bottle” while you peruse the menu.

Supersimkin2 · 06/02/2021 09:38

He's only eating Dreamies. Vet?

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/02/2021 09:51

Sounds like it to me Sad.

Bugger. Hopefully he’ll perk up when you’ve booked it, arranged time off work, booked a taxi.

Papergirl1968 · 06/02/2021 11:14

Oh Lana, these cats are such a worry Sad

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 06/02/2021 11:16

Mine usually only do this once you are actually in the vet and the meter is running...

Fingers crossed that Captain is feeling better soon.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 06/02/2021 12:20

He's probably being offered the wrong food Super. You probably need to sell a kidney to finance the attempts to find the right brand and flavour. Obviously after you've spent your life savings and maxed out several credit cards on vet investigations. At which point he'll decide the original offerings were lovely after all.

And we all do it.

Hope he's OK, please give that fluffy tummy a skoosh from me, and a nose boop from Leroy. x.

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 06/02/2021 12:25

19 year old Buns, she has just had a clean bill of health at the vets (even with CKD 2) and they said her teeth were great chuffed.
It's her 20th birthday soon Smile

He asked for food he liked last week (avail from Tesco). He dragged it onto the newly hoovered carpet, and walked off, paws treading it into the bedroom rug. .

It's Waitrose-queue-in-the-freezing-rain time, isn't it.
