Dh is loved btw, obvs.

TheSilveryPussycat · 30/01/2021 22:49

Did he answer a similar question the other way round? Wink

Fluffycloudland77 · 31/01/2021 07:42

Oh he’d paint everything orange. Everything.

Supersimkin2 · 31/01/2021 11:10

Maybe point out casually to DH that Pumpkin, the flaming orange 'artisanal' paint costs, I reckon, £1 a stroke.

Just framed and backed a cleaning rag from the charity shop (don't ask) and DIY to 'save money'. Would have been cheaper to tape tenners on.

Or Cap'n.

Fluffycloudland77 · 31/01/2021 11:20

I bought him an orange guest towel to assuage the orange thing, it just means every room we paint he brings the towel in, holds it against f&b elephants breath or similar & says you need orange as the accent colour in here while I glare at him.

How neither of us have murdered the other with a wooster pro-doo paint roller I will never know.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 31/01/2021 11:56

At least if everywhere was orange you'd be able to find the Snow Bengal easily 🤷🏼‍♀️.

Says the woman who has a black cat and promptly fitted dark grey carpets... going to the loo at night is a dangerous game in this house.

Supersimkin2 · 31/01/2021 13:21

At least the blood flowing freely from one's leg wouldn't show. Has Leroy got a few white furs that could be shed in handy places such as your best dark coat or DS's coolest tee?

Fluffycloudland77 · 31/01/2021 13:48

Have you tried the shuffle walk at night? Shuffle and stop when you nudge Leroy?.

We had white Persians and a white goatskin rug. They soon learnt not to sleep on them and to keep tails tucked around themselves when my dm was around.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 31/01/2021 14:47

We do Fluffy. It's the only way you can get safely back to bed without breaking your neck 😂

Leroy has a single white hair on his tail Super. Very distinguished.

Supersimkin2 · 31/01/2021 15:33

Capn's got a lone black whisker. Quality, our cats.

coastergirl · 31/01/2021 19:10

Had a visit from an NMC earlier. He was here yesterday too. Looks quite similar to Bertie.

He does doesn’t he?. He looks very plush.

Defiantly41 · 31/01/2021 19:48

He has white tippy-toes. I'm a sucker for tippy-toesGrin

Supersimkin2 · 31/01/2021 19:54

This isn't my cat either. For DH @Fluffycloudland77

I noticed after I posted the pic of DCat stuck in the circular patio, that if you look very carefully you can see one white whisker.

TheLongRider · 31/01/2021 22:24

It has been very cold and rainy over here today. I have a fine charm of goldfinches in my front garden. I've seen 30 birds feeding in the garden.

This afternoon a soggy but chirpy Nemo trotted in through the catflap with the mangled remains of a goldfinch. Sad
It was his first kill and he was very proud of himself. We took from him and gave him a treat and a rub down to distract while we disposed of the corpse. I hope he doesn't do the same thing again tomorrow.

Supersimkin2 · 31/01/2021 22:35

Nemo the Mighty Hunter! It's a present for you, the true gift of love. He must have sat out there for ages, queueing in the freezing rain to get 'something I just know she really wants'. Bless him.

With any luck the charmed ones will get the hint and move on.

Supersimkin2 · 31/01/2021 22:36

@TheSilveryPussycat keep an eye on it, the odd ones are always special.

TheLongRider · 31/01/2021 22:51

Nemo has a sprinkling of black hairs and three black whiskers. I whisper into his ear that he's really a Tortie!

QueenPawPaws · 31/01/2021 23:05

Ollie is on the comfortably cool M&S bedding again
He won't get on the bed if it's not on HmmConfused

And yes, I know he's too thin Sad he has dropped weight around his back end again
Seems happy and healthy apart from that so will monitor and ask the vet to weigh at his next steroid jab. You know if I am the slightest bit concerned he will be in the vet like a shot Grin

TheLongRider · 31/01/2021 23:21

Ollie's pretty old isn't he? I know you don't know his exact age and he had a tough few years before he adopted you. It's pretty hard keeping weight on old cats. You're doing a wonderful job with him. Any sight of Paws?

QueenPawPaws · 31/01/2021 23:23

Well in 2015 he was between 5-8 so between 10-13 now. Paws came in, had a giant bowl of food and vanished HmmGrin

Supersimkin2 · 01/02/2021 06:22

Ollie’s got ageless style. I thought he was about 6.

QueenPawPaws · 01/02/2021 07:59

@Supersimkin2 he says thanks, at least someone recognises his style
