Lenny just came in from outside, jumped on my lap to wipe his feet, then jumped straight off again to have a wash. No bloody manners...

3rd day of new job, and the cats will be so happy to find out I've just been sent home to self-isolate! Boycat was crying this morning when I left the house , but I was really enjoying being back at work.

Oh bugger.

Leroy's got the runs again 🤦🏼‍♀️

It happens every so often, only lasts for about 24hrs and he's fine in himself - but oh dear god, the mess!

Not a good day in general then.

Though did just get an email from new boss saying we will still be paid until we go back in - quite right too, as the person we were in contact with was the one doing our staff passes for this job!

Well, well, well, finally grumpy alpha male black and white cat has realised that Nemo is fun to play with. I was tidying the garden today and chopped out some invasive bamboo from next door.

I was ably supervised by the boy cats with much play chasing and hiding in the vegetation.That's not a panda in the picture, it's an old eejit about to pounce on the young fella.

TBH having spent 2 days walking around the town centre, after 9 months of virtual hibernation, my legs and back are happy to be stuck in the house all day!

Cats have decided I can't be trusted not to sneak out for the day again (how DARE I work to keep them in the manner to which they have become accustomed!) and seem to be taking turns at watching me all day now. They are also maneuvering around each other to try to be the one getting the attention when both are awake.

Gomez likes my new bedding almost as much as I do!

I would love Teddy Bear - but I think DH would go and sleep in the spare room!

Mine are fussy about which sheepskin they prefer to lie on, one has a slightly different texture to the other.

@YesItsMeIDontCare Cheddar does that but hers comes from the other end. She does it about 4 times in 24 hours but then nothing for a month or so. Used to be daily when on royal canin, so it's an improvement. I had no idea such a tiny cat can produce so much sick. And I'm a nurse!

Late last night I thought I heard a distant miaow. Opened the door, made a noise in a cat-inviting way. And across the car park, LGP came running over. He came in to the flat for a brief recce, then went back out. Sorry, didn't take a photo. Is it tempting fate to say I'll take one next time?

It is yes. I thought husband would take to the settee but he loves it 😂😂 he just grumbles that the kids never said how nice it is (they’ve had theirs a couple of years)

Cats are only allowed in bed when H is at work so that’s 5 nights week 😂😂

Men do hold you back somewhat with unilateral home furnishing decisions.

Last time dh was ill he asked what I’d do if he didn’t make it and I probably answered “paint the house white with pale wood accents and get a snow Bengal” a bit too quickly.
