Is anyone else’s cat as neglected as mine?

That is, so deprived and uncared for that she has to eat breadcrumbs put out for the birds off the grass outside?

(Disclaimer - she is not at all neglected. She was fed this morning and she’s had her advent calendar and treats since then)

I don't let Betsy in the loo when I'm in there so she is reduced to laying on her side and desperately stretching her paw under the door. She is so lost and all alone. How dare mama go to another room without her!

PatsyStone39 · 20/12/2020 20:37

I have 7 neglected cats. They all share the tiny double bed with my partner and I. Which is an abomination, because they should have their own queen size bed (which they wouldn't use because they would still want in ours!)

Cats are assholes. It's a fact.

Sorry forgot we had to attach a pic!!

This is plantcrapper.
Does not like her very lovely clean litter tray so disappears into our garden to crap in the plants.

Ours only had a bowlful of scraps of roast chicken and the dish to lick, not first choice of the whole bird this evening, so neglected. Barely speaking to us.

Jayneisagirlsname · 20/12/2020 21:43

This poor unloved boy had to sit in this old chair (his favourite) because no one would fill his biscuit bowl (he's on a diet🙀)

Sky Cat has to drink rainwater and can only sleep in garden planters Blush

Poor poor little deprived kitties.
Mine feel that the Christmas tree isn’t decorated up to their standard, so they are helpfully rearranging it for me.
They also feel the presents are sub standard, so added a dead mouse.
So beneficent.

RickOShay · 20/12/2020 22:01

Here they are helping with wrapping.

My poor neglected cat is furious that I have the heated throw on at 4, which is slightly not warm enough for me, but slightly too warm for her. She keeps having to get down on the floor to cool off, back up on the couch, spend ages getting comfy, then back on the floor, rinse and repeat.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/12/2020 07:19

Buy her one, she’d like it.

Chemenger · 21/12/2020 07:30

My current foster ( who might be staying for ever) is so neglected she has to eat the sticky tape off boxes (seriously, how can I deter her from this?). She won’t look at the camera because I’ve just stopped her chewing the tape on the box she is sitting next to.
My former cats were rescued as kittens from under a shed and used to rush out to eat birdseed from under the feeders. I always assumed, heartbreakingly that it was because they had had to survive on such things, but reading PPs posts it seems maybe I was wrong.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/12/2020 07:33

Oh she’s pissed isn’t she?. I think all tapes going to have to be removed from parcels and binned as they arrive because she won’t stop:

Chemenger · 21/12/2020 07:37

She is annoyed. She is, in general, the sweetest little thing ever. She’s the first foster I’ve really not wanted to give up, she’s staying for Christmas then we’ll see...

ememem84 · 21/12/2020 07:41

Catface is most neglected. She keeps going outside (in the rain) them coming back in most pissed off as if I’ve forced her out. She won’t let me dry her with her towel. But is moaning because she’s wet and I won’t dry her.

my cat is lying on the kitchen floor in despair because she has already eaten her breakfast. How could I let that happen?

Our two sit in window and run at full pelt out of the back door randomly, just realised they are watching for the cats protection van who feed the stray cat colony we have in our alley. They are obviously starved so much they have to mooch off homeless kitties! Pictured cuddled together for heat as the fire is substandard and doesn't provide enough heat...poor things

My poor neglected boy is FORCED to steal my hairbands to play with as nothing in the huge varied and expensive box of toys is good enough for him Sad
Here he is in full crisis mode...

My 19 year old rejects the filthy spring water I go and collect for her lovingly as she won't drink tap water. She is forced to drink stagnant pond water and goes out several times a day to do so.
One day she fell in and came back soaked, what an awful life.

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 21/12/2020 07:55

Mine tried to knock everything off the Christmas tree because the dog was getting attention.
Obviously because we don’t feed him he has to eat the dog food and the mealworms in the garden.
