New thread!
I’ve found two so much more hard work (and expensive) than one, Queen

So is Walter.

Paws, Ollie, Captain V and all the rest
Fluffycloudland77 · 19/04/2020 08:04

Oh dear poor Walter, babies can really grip when they need to. Cats must be like walking soft toys to babies.

Supersimkin2 · 19/04/2020 08:16

What a lovely way to wake up - double cuteness. Am roused early as Capn V is getting confident - smashed bedside table repeatedly with tail, mewed and mewed for First Breakfast at 7am.

So proud Grin

Allergictoironing · 19/04/2020 08:28

Slippery slope Lana, slippery slope.

Another couple of weeks and First Breakfast will be 6.45, then 6.30. Within a couple of months Second Breakfast will have to be at the time First Breakfast used to be, then you'll have to feed Third Breakfast as an additional meal.

Meanwhile, bedtime snack will get no earlier to make up for this. Eventually you will be feeding every 4 hours or so day and night on demand, plus snacks in between Grin

Papergirl1968 · 19/04/2020 11:56

Capn V clearly has you wrapped round his paw, Lana.
Matt woke me up by howling. When I went to investigate he was lying in the bathroom sink. I think he probably wanted to sit on the windowsill but it was too cluttered.
No news on Bertie, Coaster?

ClientQ · 19/04/2020 12:32

@Allergictoironing 4hrs? I so much as glance at the kitchen and Ollie is up like a rocket "food? FOOD? Jacket POTATO?!"
Grin

Allergictoironing · 19/04/2020 13:09

Well I DID say snacks in between, you could consider anything that classes as human food as a snack? Grin

ClientQ · 19/04/2020 15:26

Next doors granddaughter is crying. Me "aw what's up?"
Neighbour "she fell over"
In between sobs she keeps saying cat so I'm Confused as they don't have one
Neighbour "she wants to see your cat, she loves him"
Grin

Supersimkin2 · 19/04/2020 16:16

Ollie Poppins to the rescue :)

Talking of Julie Andrews, it's a Glorious Day here - we've got a gang of pigeons in from Trafalgar Square, chillaxing & declaring love to each other in the sun. The only sound for miles is billing and cooing from the rooftops, incredible in the middle of London.

Capn V's not bothered, he's watching Monkey Life.

Allergictoironing · 19/04/2020 16:53

Well more meat on yer average monkey than there is on a pigeon (unless it's the really tiny ones like cappucins).

Pretty nice looking day here too, though a bit on the chilly side still. Cats don't care, snuggled up yin & yang stylee on the bed (with Girlcat using Boycat's flank as a pillow ofc).

For me, it's time for a monumentally important decision - Wolf Hall (not watched any of that yet), Hidden Figures (3rd time of watching), or continue binge watching Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries (half way through S1).

Supersimkin2 · 19/04/2020 17:05

Wolf Hall.

Allergictoironing · 19/04/2020 18:32

You could be right. Caught up on shameful trash while thinking about it, and Wolf Hall is probably the classiest. Though Hidden Figures is an awesome film in so many ways!

coastergirl · 19/04/2020 20:03

@paper no news. I just feel awful because now even if he does go home, I'm not there anymore. Thanks for asking.

Supersimkin2 · 19/04/2020 20:07

That's next for me!! Taped, was dithering whether to watch or not. Thanks!

TV of Shame is nearly as essential to the true lady's lifestyle as Foods of Shame. My ideal night is Storage Hunters medley with a Greggs or BK. And extra onion rings and a cream slice and/or Apple Pie.

Supersimkin2 · 19/04/2020 20:09

@coastergirl sorry sweet, didn't see you there - don't give up hope. It's impossible not to worry. Tactless alert: sorry to mention, but you'd know by now if the worst had happened - so it hasn't. And that's one good thing.

Papergirl1968 · 19/04/2020 20:14

Didn’t you say you’d only moved around the corner, Coaster? I’d keep having a walk by, asking the new occupants and the neighbours to keep an eye out.

Nothing just vanished into thin air Coaster.

ClientQ · 19/04/2020 20:42

One Tesco delivery GrinGrinGrin
I have a fridge full of fresh food!

Paws, Ollie, Captain V and all the rest
coastergirl · 19/04/2020 21:03

@Lana I really hope you're right. And all of you. I'm scared he's been in an accident and crawled under a bush so didn't get help, or that he's out there somewhere thinking I've abandoned him. I don't know which is worse tbh. Yeah I've moved right around the corner. The neighbours are keeping an eye out. There is nobody in the old house yet but I've left a note for them when someone does move in. We have posters up and posts on Facebook. I just want him home.

Speaking of Facebook, Client it was me that just commented how handsome Ollie is. Gorgeous boy.

coastergirl · 19/04/2020 21:04

Oh and we walk around loads. Baby's dad is here tonight so I can go for a wander quite late.

Supersimkin2 · 19/04/2020 21:36

Smart move.

Strawberries and cream for our very own Red Queen. Yumbo, that's a really lush set of shelves you got there.

Papergirl1968 · 19/04/2020 21:39

Bet Ollie got his eye on that cream!

OP posts:
Allergictoironing · 19/04/2020 22:15

I DO hope they delivered some potatoes suitable for baking with that lot, or Ollie may never forgive you!

Hidden Figures is a real feminist film, with anti-racism, romance, and the space race all mixed in - what's NOT to like?

My worst watching is more shameful than Storage Hunters, and even more shameful than Say Yes to the Dress! Blush

ClientQ · 19/04/2020 22:39

There is potatoes Grin
Meal plan for this week (I am planning so I can stretch everything as far as possible
Quesadillas (pulled ham, veg and cheese in)
Feta salad
JO beef and ale stew with mash
Grilled halloumi with tabbouleh

Ollie has designs on the sour cream, custard and potatoes

TheLongRider · 19/04/2020 22:48

Hidden Figures is great. DD 10 also liked Apollo 13.
