New thread!
I’ve found two so much more hard work (and expensive) than one, Queen

That’s a very well behaved cat, Spartacus - my two would have been walking all over me, annoyed at being ignored Smile

I have enzyme solution and biological washing powder works just as well.

Cats are arses, that is all.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 09/04/2020 13:24

It would've taken Leroy 0.1 second to park his arse on that bible! Anyone else think the vicar could've at least given the cat a little scritch behind the ears?

YetAnotherSpartacus · 09/04/2020 13:27

Anyone else think the vicar could've at least given the cat a little scritch behind the ears?

I was imagining him thinking 'oh shit, oh, shit, oh shit this is the eleventy billionth take just let me get through it without Tibbles jumping on my Bible' ... but that's just because I've had to put all my lectures online and I'm still reeling from the shock...

Papergirl1968 · 09/04/2020 13:47

Yes, it is after all one of God’s Creatures Halo
(I’m not remotely religious!)

Absolutely splendiferous Spart.

The cathedral kitty is full of quiet dignity and contemplation, especially appreciating the bit about trampling the serpent underfoot.

An example to us all.

Capn V would have had his head in that milk jug.

Supersimkin2 · 09/04/2020 14:56

Absolutely beautiful service, setting and thoughts, eh.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/04/2020 16:17

Maybe reading bible passages aloud stops cats being little shits?.

I believe. I can’t help it I just do. I’m a fan of near death experiences were you see your pets. There’s a great one with the woman meeting her dog and the dog can talk. When she told her family her dd was really upset she didn’t see a human relative but her dh was like “well obviously you’d want to see the dog”.

Supersimkin2 · 09/04/2020 20:06

I have a near death experience every time Capn V doesn't get a Dreamie.
Bless his little fudgy paws.

Bloody hell, the telly - it's either My Corona Moaner Story, part 987, or a show where BBC4 have really pulled out the stops - How to Make a Toothbrush.

Seriously ladeez, don't watch this shit - it raises your anxiety by 14 per cent after only 5 minutes. The news, OK, if you must, and you'll be ok with the toothbrush, but current affairs media is necessarily biased and is well known to damage wellbeing.

Allergictoironing · 09/04/2020 20:33

That's why about 50% of my TV watching at present is either trash (antique or property shows) or repeats (e.g.Father Brown). There's a couple of guilty pleasures that are too shaming to admit to in such cultured company, and the rest is all documentaries about anything except politics, 1900 onwards history, or corona virus.

ClientQ · 09/04/2020 20:53

I'm going to watch the gordon cookery thing at 9pm, usually a bit of light entertainment

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/04/2020 20:57

I got his cooking course on kindle for 99p the other night & learnt how to finely slice an onion.

Then I ordered a knife sharpener.

As a cook, all the tips I’ve learnt off him have worked.

Supersimkin2 · 09/04/2020 21:10

That is true praise Fluffy. You can't buy knives or sharpeners in South London. Where Gordon lives, funnily enough, although no one's ever seen evidence.

My ultimate telly is Storage Hunters, better than Hamlet.

And Will O' the Wisp, a small children's cartoon voiced by Kenneth Williams starring a bad-tempered analog television called Edna.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/04/2020 21:26

I remember that cartoon too.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 09/04/2020 21:39

And Mavis Cruet!!!!!!!

Supersimkin2 · 09/04/2020 21:43

The very same!!!! My dvd of the series is in my jewellery box.

Papergirl1968 · 09/04/2020 22:18

I can recommend Malory Towers on cbbc - all episodes on iplayer!

Ollie has managed to cut himself Confused right on his back/neck, just below where you would flea treat. Took all the hair off as well

Papergirl1968 · 10/04/2020 00:35

Oh no, is Ollie ok?

OP posts:
ClientQ · 10/04/2020 00:54

He seems to be, it's more a scrape but he has a patch of fur missing Confused
Had a look and he gave me a "get OFF mama" face so I think he's fine Grin

Papergirl1968 · 10/04/2020 00:59

Poor Ollie! Glad it’s not serious.
Matt’s lost a load of fur too. Think he’s got fleas...

OP posts:
Supersimkin2 · 10/04/2020 08:20

Best wishes for Ollie's speedy recovery. Was it Ma Bush?

Matt might be shedding his glorious winter coat in favour of a sleeker summer style. If you see black flecks in the fur - a lot - that is yer traditional spring flea, however. Also a telltale itch around the delicate lady's human ankle :)

Capn V only wants Dreamies for breakfast. Fat paw patting the packet as I type.

Meh, I'm giving in, Bank Holiday treat.

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/04/2020 08:27

Client Morrison’s have teamed up with deliveroo to supply a small range of groceries if you need anything. Ollie must have done something quite bad to remove fur and cut himself. I hope he remembers what he did.

Supersimkin2 · 10/04/2020 08:51

Have you had your delivery yet Fluffy?

I hope it was nice . I am ringing to beg M&S to save me some food shortly. All the prices in other supermarkets have shot up so high M&S = Asda by comparison now.

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/04/2020 09:09

Yes, we had food but dh is ploughing through snacks too quickly and thinks I can just order more every 24 hours Hmm

There’s usually delivery vans up and down our road but it’s only us and one house down the road who still qualify. Dh looks really healthy so they probably wonder how we still get deliveries.

Pet Meadow Crew on YouTube, 2 bengals and rescue kittens. It’s my new favourite.
