New thread!
I’ve found two so much more hard work (and expensive) than one, Queen

Sort of. Sainsbury's have given in and stuck me on the priority list but I checked and no slots still (goes up to end of April)
I'm going to stay up tonight and check Tesco and Sainsbury's again

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/04/2020 17:19

I have a theory that they are blocked off not booked & are released daily.

There’s the Morrison’s food box too, M&S do one but it’s not easy to imagine what meals you’d actually make from the contents.

ClientQueen · 08/04/2020 17:48

I'm being kept entertained. Not sure I assembled this cat correctly

Are you missing any bits?.

ClientQueen · 08/04/2020 18:44

Well my neighbour just told me that Ollie has balls of steel. Apparently he sauntered past their daughters barking dog, spat at it and she said "if he had a middle finger, he would have stuck it up" BlushBlush

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/04/2020 18:56

Little legend!

Supersimkin2 · 08/04/2020 18:59

Paws is unlocking Ollie's inner warrior. Grin

Best news ever.

coastergirl · 08/04/2020 20:07

Really appreciate you all thinking of me. Still no sign. Reluctantly realised that I can't really post leaflets at the moment. Apparently only essential mail is allowed.

@client am I right in thinking you are near Preston? I'm not too far away and I'm not in the vulnerable group. Would you like me to get you some shopping? Love the improperly assembled Paws/Ollie (Pollie?)

ClientQueen · 08/04/2020 20:17

@coastergirl I am but honestly I'm absolutely fine for now. I have channeled my inner Nigella and made (and frozen)
Corned beef hash
Beef stew
Banana bread
Honey cake
Cottage pie
Gnocchi bake
Blush

Oh hang on... you're just trying to sneak an Ollie peek Grin

coastergirl · 08/04/2020 20:23

@ClientQueen Oh wow, you're better stocked than me! Let me know if that changes. I'm happy to help.

I'm not going to deny that the thought of snatching a glance of Ollie and Paws is appealing. I'd be quite starstruck!

Papergirl1968 · 08/04/2020 20:24

Shit Coaster, never thought of that. Although I’ve still been getting adverts from pizza places etc through the door.
How about sticking them on lampposts?

OP posts:
coastergirl · 08/04/2020 20:38

We already have posters on lampposts, did them days ago.

I just feel like he's gone. And I miss him so much.

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/04/2020 22:10

I hope your wrong. I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

Supersimkin2 · 08/04/2020 22:10

Keep the faith Coaster.

I'm shamelessly keen on the menu at House of Queen. Call me Paws.

Papergirl1968 · 08/04/2020 22:31

Aww Coaster, I can’t imagine what you’re going through.
I guess you’re still checking around your old house and the route between the new house and the old house?

OP posts:
Papergirl1968 · 08/04/2020 22:35

Sorry, Coaster, ignore me, just realised he went from the old house.

Woke up thinking about Queen's freezer and its tempting contents.

I have lived with cats too long.

TheLongRider · 09/04/2020 10:19

Well it has been an interesting 24 hours in the LongRider household. I came downstairs yesterday to be met by a very large dead rat on the kitchen floor. No blood and the cats denied all knowledge of how it got there.

This morning DH came down to a live but battered magpie in the kitchen with two oblivious cats. We shooed it out into the garden and it's not around now.

The catflap was delicately scented with the urine of an unneutered Tom, so they had another visitor during the night. An hour of scrubbing later and the rank scent is still hanging around. FML

Papergirl1968 · 09/04/2020 10:26

Dead rat - urgh!
Love that the cats denied all knowledge Grin

OP posts:
TheLongRider · 09/04/2020 10:56

God yes! The little feckers were walking around the corpse and demanding their breakfast as normal.

The cats would have had to drag the magpie through two catflaps and the 20" tunnel in the wall. Again they sat in the room and watched myself and DH get rid of the magpie. The cats complained loudly about the late breakfast!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 09/04/2020 11:19

Were the presents from the Tom?

TheLongRider · 09/04/2020 12:05

No, the rat was definitely one of the boys, possibly the youngest boy cat as he's quite lethal. He kills quickly though.

Our three boys are neutered. I doubt the magpie was a present. I suspect oldest boy cat caught the magpie as it was still alive and he has form for leaving half dead presents.

I'm surprised a Tom came visiting at all, usually they leave well alone. I've seen a humongous black Tom in the garden.

God knows what tomorrow will bring.

Supersimkin2 · 09/04/2020 12:06

You've got a new admirer Long. New haircut, see.

Make DH pee on the catflap.

Amazon do this for a fiver, works:

Christian members of TLT might like this www.canterbury-cathedral.org/ (skim to the bottom and check out Compline). As a heathen, I was just willing the cat to jump on his lap :)

Having said that, I did experience echoes of William Blake in watching the video.
