I'm glad that you are a little more chipper today Lana, but don't feel you have to be if you get what I mean.

YesQueen - can I be selfish and ask if there is a Ginger and Fred update and if you will still be seeing them?

Supersimkin · 21/09/2019 10:21

Gourmet, eh. Thin end of the wedge.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/09/2019 11:21

It’s a long wedge though and I live too far away from M&S for him to progress further along it.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 21/09/2019 11:27

I bet DH would go the distance for his ungrateful darling boy.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/09/2019 11:54

He’d still get ignored after the last mouthful though.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 21/09/2019 12:02

Yeeeees, but I bet he'd go out the next day and do the whole thing again.

Papergirl1968 · 21/09/2019 12:21

Oh Lana, you have nothing to feel bad about. That cat was spoiled rotten, and having him PTS was the kindest thing - the only thing - you could have done. It’s a shame it’s not an easier option for humans once they lose all quality of life without the hassle of going to Dignitas.
As for what we’re doing today, Matt apparently spent part of the night snoozing in the laundry bin and has now gone out to enjoy the sunshine. And I woke up to find Socks on my bed. I cannot fill that kitten up. She’s eating me out of house and home. She loves treat sticks - Matt was never bothered.
She’s just run into the room carrying a peg and is delighted with it.

YesQueen · 21/09/2019 12:22

@YesItsMeIDontCare possibly - I haven't quite figured it out yet, I went up yesterday and howled the whole time so I need a bit longer I think
Fred was flat out snoozing in the loft on a pile of rugs but came down for some treats. Ginge was nowhere to be seen so I suspect out hunting!

I’ve just found this thread and I’m so sorry to hear about Mr C. Lana, you gave him a great life and I’m sure he knew how much you loved him. Hugs.

YesQueen · 21/09/2019 16:53

Ollie has cut his lip. I am allowed to look at it "an you look with your eyes human, not your hands"
But any suggestion of touching and I get glared at

Dodgy takeaway last night, cats gone off to sleep on the bed with dh who’s going to absolutely fine when he wakes up. Envy

Never go to a takeaway with a 3 star hygiene rating.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 22/09/2019 09:16

Bonus to DH - he gets snuggles with Asbo ... I'm sorry you are unwell though. Some of the best takeouts I have had have been from dirty holes in the wall (the best curry ever in Glasgow), but it's a risk. I hope that you feel better soon.

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/09/2019 09:54

One of dhs cousins reckons the same, he used to police areas with minging standards but said the food was cooked on high temps so it was ok.

It’s still a no from me. Dh is fine as usual.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 22/09/2019 10:03

Yeah - definitely at a high temp. Plus, it was vegetarian. That was SUCH a good saag paneer...

Did DH get kitty cuddles or was Asbo just after the bed?

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/09/2019 10:46

Just the bed.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 22/09/2019 10:51

Oh dear. Poor DH. I do feel for him.

YesQueen · 22/09/2019 11:08

Ollie went out in the pouring rain then came back in for a wee. Water and cat litter = well you can imagine how much he had on him

OP posts:
YetAnotherSpartacus · 22/09/2019 11:15

Did you dry him with a big fluffy towel and give him treats?

YesQueen · 22/09/2019 12:13

Nope. He was absolutely plastered in cat litter so I sent him outside again to wash it off Grin

YetAnotherSpartacus · 22/09/2019 12:15

Dear Ollie,

Clearly, Mummy does not worship you any more.

You are welcome to come and live with me,

Lots of Love,

Auntie YetAnother.

YesQueen · 22/09/2019 13:21

He is eyeing up my carvery. I ordered a standard size one. Dear lord it's giant

OP posts:
Papergirl1968 · 22/09/2019 13:46

How are you today, Lana?

Supersimkin · 22/09/2019 17:54

Thinking about how nice that carvery sounds. On the mend, evidently Grin

Papergirl1968 · 22/09/2019 17:58

Yes, you must eat even if you don’t feel like it. Mr C will be looking down in furry disapproval if you don’t.

YesQueen · 22/09/2019 19:21

Ollie said I must post the photo to encourage food consumption. Also he thinks I should have got the large Blush
