No more gloom from this end. If I were Socks I would be facedown in Matt's belly purring and kneading for all my baby paws were worth. She lerves him.

YesQueen · 17/09/2019 21:40

Sulking Ollie "I wanna go watch the bang bangs"
Funnily enough I didn't let him go and wander around watching the bloody fireworks HmmGrin

I tried to reply earlier but signal didn't allow. Bert sauntered in late last night without a care in the world. He's very put out now. I've been to Alton Towers today so my parents have been here with my boy. Bert is terrified of anyone who isn't me or my partner so he's been in hiding. Poor baby.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/09/2019 22:14

Have you tried giving him a chew stick? We call them cheer up chews.

coastergirl · 17/09/2019 23:50

He's forgiven us (although he is still giving dirty looks).

Those aren't my legs btw 😂

Supersimkin · 18/09/2019 08:09

He's giving you the Silent Reproach aka Snack Me Up.

I can recommend M&S posh puppies as an ideal make-up gift after an altercation. They are smallish sausages and also fun to roll around the floor.

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/09/2019 08:22

He looks very hurt. Obviously it’s ok for him to bugger off all night but not you.

How’s MrC today?.

YesQueen · 18/09/2019 09:13

Kisses this morning from paws and Ollie Grin

I'm going to try all your treat recommendations. I'm definitely lacking in that department. They do get spoilt in other ways though. Walter isn't that fussed by human food (except tuna, he yells at me the moment any tin comes out of the cupboard. I have to show him it's beans). Bert on the other hand is a feline dustbin. OH cooks him his own sausage when he's making breakfast at the weekends.

Socks seems very partial to Wotsits...

Warning - Might be painful/offensive to Bengal slaves.

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/09/2019 16:39

When you’ve lived with a Bengal it’s impossible to be offended.

I did comment, and sat on my hands like a good girl when someone suggested kidnapping it and releasing it in a different area 🤦🏻‍♀️

YetAnotherSpartacus · 18/09/2019 18:44

There are some really sick posters out there. Thanks for commenting.

Your cats beautiful, which breed?.

DCat · 18/09/2019 20:42

She's a coach park rescue, eating from dust bins, rescued at -10 degrees in January. But I made my research and I guess she may be something like a cross between a burmese and a calico?

Papergirl1968 · 19/09/2019 13:32

How is Mr C, Lana?

Supersimkin · 19/09/2019 16:55

Mr C died today.

Yesterday the vet and I made the decision to bring Mr C home, and we dosed him up so he had one perfect day of snacks and cuddles. We had a cuddle in bed.

This morning he had ham for breakfast and went to sleep for the last time.

Justonedayatatime11 · 19/09/2019 17:02

Oh Lana I'm so very very sorry to hear that. A littertray legend. ThanksThanksThanks

YetAnotherSpartacus · 19/09/2019 17:23

I am so sorry Lana. So, so sorry. You did the right thing, but you must be utterly, utterly bereft. Look after yourself Flowers

TheLongRider · 19/09/2019 17:30

Oh no! I'm so sorry for you both. Flowers

Have you earmarked a patch of the local park in his memory?

You'll both be in my thoughts.

DCat · 19/09/2019 17:40

I'm so very very sorry, Lana :( Flowers Flowers

YesQueen · 19/09/2019 17:51

Papergirl1968 · 19/09/2019 18:09

Oh Lana, I am so very sorry.
That sounds like a lovely last day.
No one could have loved him more or done more for him. Hold on to that.
Hopefully you’ve got friends in real life who get it and will be there if you need them, but in case you haven’t I’m going to PM you my phone number. If you want to talk, cry, scream down the phone, you can.
RIP Mr C
Xxx
