@Supersimkin2 my kitty didn't get up til 10!!!!!

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/11/2019 12:09

4:30am is the traditional get up time for cats.

How many breakfasts is too many?.

Justonedayatatime11 · 21/11/2019 12:19

Bloody hell ClientList a kg of pic n mix turns out to be quite a lot!

Papergirl1968 · 21/11/2019 13:12

I’m now officially Socks’ owner Smile
I’ve just paid dd for her. Dd has so many issues, and is so immature, I worried about her ability to take care of a pet.
Dd is temporarily moving out again - it’s her pattern to come and then we argue and she goes for a break before boomeranging home again. I feel so relieved she can’t take Socks away now.
I’ve warned her not to get another pet as I can’t take another on. These two are eating me out of house and home!

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/11/2019 14:41

Have you looked on amazon for food?. They do huge packs of pouches for them to go off eating.

Supersimkin2 · 21/11/2019 15:49

Congrats Paper!!!

Re the food: I know, it's a shocker isn't it re kittens and how their daily nosh weighs 2x what they do. Little K eats 4 adult-size pouches just for basics. Looka well angry if portion control so much as mentioned.

Papergirl1968 · 21/11/2019 17:06

I’ve never thought to look on Amazon, but I will. It’s so hard to stop Matt eating Socks’ food. Greedy bugger demolishes his own and then goes to hers and she meekly stands aside and lets him!

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/11/2019 17:24

We had a male who used to do that, we fed one the floor, one on the worktop, one in the hall and one in the dining room 🙄

Papergirl1968 · 21/11/2019 18:06

He knows he is being naughty.
Unfortunately Socks is a slow eater who likes to use her paw to hook bits of her dinner out of the bowl, and eat them off the floor, or just bring her paw to her mouth. If it’s beef or chicken or something rather than cat food she’ll often toss pieces up in the air and pat them around the floor too... 🤷🏼‍♀️
Matt has no time for such nonsense, his method being to scoff it down as quickly as possible!

Justonedayatatime11 · 21/11/2019 18:13

Papergirl if you're needing to buy in bulk, Zooplus is really good and pretty cheap

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/11/2019 18:36

Don’t forget cashback sites. It all adds up.

We went out for dinner last Xmas Eve, dh had fish and chips & asked them to wrap his saved fish up. We put it in his bowl & he flicked it all over the kitchen. It was ok for him to stay out but not us.

Supersimkin2 · 21/11/2019 19:46

I remember your post on that Fluffy Grin Grin A masterpiece of understatement.

Paper you might have to feed Socks in a room where the door shuts. Old skool tin not pouch cheaper for Matt - those packs of 6 tins last one cat a week for £2.30. Even Mr C couldn't eat more than one tin a day, and he was a massive fucker & greedy as sin.

Papergirl1968 · 21/11/2019 20:11

I do sometimes shut Matt in the kitchen and he glares impotently through the glass door while Socks serenely carries on eating at her own pace, Lana! Might try a tin, good thinking, they are cheaper.
Will also have a look at zooplus, thanks Oneday.

ClientListQueen · 21/11/2019 20:15

@Justonedayatatime11 are you in a sugar coma yet? Grin
I use zooplus a lot for food but worth checking fetch etc too, use Quidco for cash back and shop around for offers

ClientListQueen · 21/11/2019 20:17

Actually fetch have 15% off your first shop on their website and 3% cash back Quidco

Justonedayatatime11 · 21/11/2019 20:31

ClientList I haven't even opened it yet! I'm currently trapped under 2 sleeping cats and don't have the heart to move them to go and get the bag!

Justonedayatatime11 · 21/11/2019 20:32

I mean seriously, how could I disturb her?!

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/11/2019 20:39

Is she one of your chocolate Suffolk’s?

ClientListQueen · 21/11/2019 20:41

Paws has investigated the pick n mix and tried to carry it outside "for snack later hooman"
I sent him off with a mouthful of dreamies instead

Justonedayatatime11 · 21/11/2019 20:41

Yep Fluffy, the bigger of the 2. Any by far the most high maintenance, she has to be with me, or on me, or next to me 24/7, normally draped over my shoulder like a baby

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/11/2019 20:55

You’ll have to invent a cat sling & make your fortune.

Justonedayatatime11 · 21/11/2019 20:59

I may have previously floated the idea of using a baby sling to DH....!

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/11/2019 21:09

😹 do it, anything for an easy life.

Supersimkin2 · 21/11/2019 21:51

She's lovely.
