Yep, been thinking of you too. Just bought the cats some (more) Xmas presents and gave silent thanks for them.
I owe those cats a lot because whatever havoc the kids are creating, and to be honest they’ve put me through hell these last few years, Matt and now Socks are there with a warm furry hug, or doing something daft to make me smile.

Papergirl1968 · 19/11/2019 16:14

Oh god Fluffy, reading that my heart just breaks for you x

Justonedayatatime11 · 19/11/2019 16:17

Oh Fluffy SadSadBlushThanks

Supersimkin2 · 19/11/2019 17:24

If it's any help, I sent Mr C off with a blanket of mine and a lock of hair and some ham.

It must be time for strong spirits. get some of your absolutely favourite scotch. asbo deserves the best.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/11/2019 17:42

Berties getting a Christy towel I had in the carrier. Dh will be home soon.

Thank you for all keeping me company, it’s been an awful awful year.

ClientListQueen · 19/11/2019 18:12

Take a little bit of fur if you like, there is a company that does beautiful resin jewellery and bits

Supersimkin2 · 19/11/2019 18:13

I know I'm not the only one who wishes they were there in person to look after you.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/11/2019 18:32

Thank you. It is done. Dh cried all the way through.

I’ve got photos of his paws, going to get a necklace done. Couldn’t get a print his paws were too fluffy.

I should of cat proofed.i realise that now.

Supersimkin2 · 19/11/2019 19:43

Go in and have a massive drink.

No you should not have cat proofed. Asbo would have hated it. He loved his gardens and his patrols and all the impertinent lesser creatures who raised the furry eyebrow by existing on his patch.

Catproofing doesn't stop bad things happening, either. Mr C got infections and he never went out. God knows how it happened, but he still died.

Would you keep a DC in prison because you never wanted them to cross the road? Or DH?

Sorry for the ghastly new age crap that will make anyone sane bite the PC before pissing on it, but loving people is setting them free. And you loved him and did the right thing.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/11/2019 19:59

I wish I’d cat proofed though, I do.

Allergictoironing · 19/11/2019 20:43

I do have a bit of good, fun news .

Got a text from my mate today who had gone to my house to work on his car (in my garage). He has keys & went in to use the loo, and was hit by the strange smell in the conservatory - I'd noticed it the other day but rarely go in there. Coming back through, he spotted a mouse!

He rescued the sacks of dry cat food that live out there & after some poking around found droppings etc. So when I got in from work I let the cats in there - and Girlcat has caught her first mouse! She paraded round me with the very dead corpse dangling from her mouth then vanished, so presumably there's some disemboweled remains somewhere under some furniture. Star

I've shut them out for now, and the conservatory is off the kitchen which is out of bounds during the night & when I'm out, but I'll give her another go tomorrow evening. I THINK Boycat helped her too - he was on guard at one end looking impressive & sniffing loudly Grin

Supersimkin2 · 19/11/2019 20:53

Massive congrats to both Halo kitties.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/11/2019 20:57

She’s such a clever cat, boycat obviously sees his role as more supervisory!

Hopefully they’ll clear it for you.

Papergirl1968 · 19/11/2019 21:13

Fluffy, if only is the saddest phrase in the English language.
But equally a lot of people think that when your time is up, it’s up. So if it hadn’t been a collision with a car it might have been a heart attack or kidney failure or anything really, but it would have been his destiny to die yesterday.
I don’t know what I believe and we’ll never know if there is such a thing as destiny but be kind to yourself.
It’s because you loved him so much that it hurts. And he knew he was loved and loved you too. He will always be in your heart.
Take comfort from that, and picture him running free.
(Hugs)

coastergirl · 19/11/2019 21:37

Some of you really do have an amazing way with words and it's very touching.

Supersimkin2 · 19/11/2019 22:12

Little K has just had supper with me in the room and is now eyeing tinkly feather on a stick.

The small animal has doubled in size in 2 weeks. I would post a pic but TCN might think I have inflated him with a bicycle pump. He is full of Brexit-style trade deal suggestions for pet contact v. nutritional opportunities. Mutually beneficial, he says.

TheLongRider · 19/11/2019 22:32

Is Little K less verbally hostile? Complex domestic negotiations between humans and cats involving pork products are a feature in this house too.

Supersimkin2 · 20/11/2019 06:02

No hissing for a week :)

He is eating dreamies noisily by the bed :)

Appears to have got the hang of Sound of Shaky Packet. The kitten pleading is too much for me, especially before 6am. Sits by bowl, gives me That Look.

Has had 6 spontaneous treats of love. Now sitting by other bowl, waiting for Breakfast Buffet.

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/11/2019 07:12

Have you tried him on chew sticks? Very high in protein.

Are his symptoms improving?.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 20/11/2019 07:22

Fluffy I've only just seen this. I can't add anything to the beautiful words from other posters but I want to say I'm sorry and I'm thinking about you Flowers

Supersimkin2 · 20/11/2019 07:23

Does loud sneezing if breakfast portion not big enough.

How are you this morning darling - go gently, mornings are often the worst.

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/11/2019 07:34

Thank you Pink.

The house has stopped being a home for both of us, dh wants to find who did it.

swampytiggaa · 20/11/2019 08:03

@Fluffycloudland77 been thinking about you lots 💕 how are you doing today?

YetAnotherSpartacus · 20/11/2019 08:05

Also thinking of you. And I so get what you mean about the house. Hugs.

Supersimkin2 · 20/11/2019 08:07

I felt exactly that about Palais de Lana when Mr C died.

Everything in the home suddenly looks lumpen and physical, only physical. Lots of it, repulsively. The air is too big and there's nothing in it. Too much stuff on one hand, too much absence on the other.

Don't move or change anything for now. Wait. A new normal will arrive. It will be ok.

At some point the new air will hold fresh possibility.

Little K is saying seven breakfasts is not enough.
