A rta is quick though isn’t it?. We both thought recently we wouldn’t have him much longer but then he got better so we thought it’s not that then.

I told him he’s not allowed to die.

Justonedayatatime11 · 18/11/2019 22:48

Oh Fluffy. So so sorry SadThanks

Supersimkin2 · 18/11/2019 22:53

Rta is the best way to go for him. He wouldn't have known anything about it. He was out and about being King of the Hood, and that's all he'll have been aware of.

Arms wrapped round you and DH from all of us.

Try and eat something and go to bed with a whisky.

TheSilveryPussycat · 18/11/2019 23:05

So very very sad to hear this.

Papergirl1968 · 18/11/2019 23:07

Oh Fluffy, I am so very sorry.
There are no words but sending hugs.
Goodnight, precious Asbo. Sleep well.

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/11/2019 23:18

I think his luck just ran out. I don’t want to sleep because when I wake up I’ll forget he’s gone for a moment.

Guiltypleasures001 · 18/11/2019 23:20

Oh Fluffy
I'm so so sorry to hear this 🥺 unmumsnetty hug to you x

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/11/2019 23:30

Thank you.

When he came to us he got diarrhoea over his tail because he was travel sick. Tonight he had it again when he was found so I had to do it a again.

Our whole lives revolve around him.

TheLongRider · 18/11/2019 23:33

I'm so sorry for you all. Flowers

Supersimkin2 · 19/11/2019 00:10

Nothing can hurt him now, lovey, he's at rest.

He died as he lived, the most loved, most triumphant prince among cats. He was an exceptional cat and person, and truly splendid. Thanks to you he lived his full potential.

Goodnight, brave and beautiful asbo. You will be safe in our hearts forever.

coastergirl · 19/11/2019 00:22

I've only been on this thread a short while but there are tears here tonight. I'm am so, so sorry. You must be heartbroken. My Helix died the same way last year. She was only 5 and a feisty little madam. It's just awful.

Asbo 😢

TheLongRider · 19/11/2019 00:33

For a cat that I never met, Asbo was a huge presence on the Litter Tray. You've written so eloquently about him over the years. I'm sure his nine lives were well lived with you.

Oh no, poor Asbo and poor you Sad. As a pp said, it would have been very quick and he probably knew nothing about it so he died thinking he was invincible. Flowers Wine

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/11/2019 07:23

At least we got him back.

I’m glad we indulged him as much as we did. He had a life of getting what he wanted as soon as he asked for it, hot water bottles, fleeces, snuggles & doing whatever he fancied.

Dh has gone to work, I’ve emailed I won’t be in. I can’t stop crying.

Take it gently, love.

Asbo lived the life of an emperor. He knew it and appreciated it.

He loved you so much.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 19/11/2019 10:36

Still thinking of you Flowers.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/11/2019 10:46

Thank you, it’s the safest place we’ve lived, traffic wise.

Papergirl1968 · 19/11/2019 11:21

We had two cats run over when I was younger and still lived with mom and dad and it’s the worst feeling.
It’s my biggest fear but I’d still rather they got the chance to go out and have some freedom rather than being house cats. It’s a battle I’m having with dd over Socks at the moment - she wants her to be an indoor cat and I don’t think that’s fair.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/11/2019 12:04

I’ll admit I’ve done a volte-face on the indoor/outdoor argument. It’s catproofing all the way from now on for me.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/11/2019 15:26

It’s ok to keep posting, just because Asbo is gone you’ve all still got cats doing amusing things.

Justonedayatatime11 · 19/11/2019 15:34

Can't do amusing but can provide cute

coastergirl · 19/11/2019 16:02

Can also provide cute. Walter snuggled up to the other half last night.

Fluffy you've been in my thoughts all day. I wish I'd been around longer and known more of Asbo. Naughty pets are my favourite kind.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/11/2019 16:10

He was certainly naughty. He’s on my lap while I stroke his tummy. I won’t see him after today so I thought we’d have an afternoon snuggle.

Just Cat looks like they definitely didn’t see any pheasants.
