Ohh, Lana, how exciting.
Looking forward to seeing him. 😸

PotterHead1985 · 06/11/2019 00:00

I've been volunteering as a cat comforter in our local shelter. They had 28 cats come in from a hoarders house. All different ages etc and most of them so terrified of human contact. They range from hug me, pet me, talk to me, get away from me. Gonna be a long process.

Justonedayatatime11 · 06/11/2019 07:59

Aaah Lana that is so lovely Smile

Supersimkin2 · 06/11/2019 08:18

First Gourmet approved. Bowl licked clean. Back under cashmere throw.

Still publicity-shy.

Potter dream job, or what. 28! That is a warning to us all.

How exciting Lana! Can't wait for the big reveal! Is he yours to keep?

coastergirl · 06/11/2019 11:33

That's so exciting! Congratulations. Can't wait to see.

Thanks to TCN, I am a kitten foster parent.

Foster parent.
Foster parent.
Foster parent???

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha 😂

Yeah right. 😜

Supersimkin2 · 06/11/2019 21:04

Three Gourmets down.

Tinkly ball has been tinkled.

We have bravely hissed at GINORMOUS baldy pink two-leg and her big pink paw, and then stopped hissing when the massive paw clumsily did our tiny, perfect ears.

We have watched telly. This pm we watched the VAST VAST VAST two-leg from round the corner of our blanket to see if it bites. It moos at us and totters about with dishes for us, we reckon it's harmless.

We are still not available for our press call, however. We are currently resting on throw.

Papergirl1968 · 06/11/2019 21:09

Did you get a peaceful night with her last night, Lana?
No howling at 3am?

Supersimkin2 · 06/11/2019 21:37

He slept like a dream. I have cough so decided to sleep in separate room.

He had a helluva day - neutered, vaccinated and chipped in the morning, wormed and flea'd etc in pm, then transported in cage right through Central London on fireworks night to reach new home at 9pm.

He's still a little bit tired tho', is only small.

Papergirl1968 · 06/11/2019 21:40

Bless. Apologies for calling him a her!

ClientListQueen · 06/11/2019 22:01

Two leg is being watched closely here too. We have progress and have emerged from skulking looking worried to this
Cats protection think he has some problems with the children in his meant to be home and suspect he doesn't actually go home. Ever

That makes sense.

He's had to run away from home. :(

Needs home.

?

coastergirl · 07/11/2019 05:41

Just been woken by the four year old, so obviously came here in search of kitten photos. Bless the little one, that really was a heavy day. Does he have a name?

What is that thing that Paws is staring at? Sounds like he's chosen his home.

Walter made me laugh last night. Sitting brazenly on the kitchen worktop. I had my hands in a sink full of dishes so asked child to get Walter down. Child is small. Walt is big and chunky. Walt just stared at the child in bemusement. Daft creatures, the pair of them!

swampytiggaa · 07/11/2019 06:56

Traumatic morning here... girlchild went to let the cats out of their room. Only one appeared 😮 one was sitting on the outside windowsill crying like mad the other was nowhere to be found 😮

She was in the garden 😭😭

For context our house is a bit wonky so the living room they sleep in is first floor so she had a bit of a climb to get down!

Don’t think she had been out long or we would have heard the crying one earlier.

Gomez is now being washed and fussed over by her sisters 💕

ClientListQueen · 07/11/2019 08:05

@coastergirl a doorstop!

Supersimkin2 · 07/11/2019 08:29

Last night I saw Young Mr K (the kitten) for the first time, all of him. He is tabby and pure white, slightly fluffy, with a round face and gold eyes.

Gold eyes gazing at me out of pure white fluffy fur....

I do wish I could get a pic, but he's still in his big crate and I just can't freak him out.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 07/11/2019 08:35

Is he yours to keep?

Allergictoironing · 07/11/2019 17:58

Squeee!

Yetanother it would be interesting to know how many single first time fosters end up staying with the foster person. Because I reckon there's a very good chance of that number being added to Wink

Papergirl1968 · 07/11/2019 18:08

I reckon Queen and Ollie won’t be kicking Paws out either Wink

Supersimkin2 · 07/11/2019 21:23

Just served seconds of the first M&S meal.

So proud Grin

Supersimkin2 · 07/11/2019 21:46

I will take Paws if Queen can't and I absolutely mean that. He's been made homeless from abuse, which is what happened to Mr C.

The Story of Paws

Paws was a smiling, funny, clever black-and-white cat. He went to live with a family, with hope and openness in his loving heart. But the people in the family were rough, and did not love happy little Paws. The children pulled his tail and chased him.

Paws stopped smiling and grew sick and frightened. He was hurt, now, hungry and alone. He didn't understand why people turned his merry furry face into a crumpled, scared streak, flinching at the next blow. He knew he wasn't safe. He didn't understand why, but he had no home.

Through his pain and fear, Paws stumbled toward a warm glow, a house he'd seen full of love and light. He found inside loving gentle arms, a beautiful kind face, a full bowl and a true furry friend. And a microwave to sit on.

Winter is drawing in. How does the story end?

Papergirl1968 · 07/11/2019 23:35

Lana, that’s guaranteed to melt the coldest heart 😭
Not that Queen is cold hearted!
I’m so glad your little lad is eating.
