Swampy Their beautiful girls. We had four cats when I was at home and it wasn’t that much work, they turned up at meal times and did their own thing in-between.

Coaster Boring is good. It’s better than walking around the block at 2am because the cat won’t come in.

Papergirl1968 · 04/11/2019 20:53

I did indeed, Lana!
Socks has been crazy today, zooming around at 100mph. She jumped right over Matt’s head once. Poor boy just looked slightly bewildered. She’s asleep on two cushions now.

Supersimkin2 · 04/11/2019 21:25

Socks is channelling asbo in her search for self-expression.

Justonedayatatime11 · 04/11/2019 22:43

4 of mine are in disgrace (again). What sort of pheasant would be dumb enough to land in a garden with 11 cats?! Savannahs 1 - Pheasant 0 Hmm

ClientListQueen · 04/11/2019 22:53

Pheasants do have a tendency to be a bit dim. Stable cat once came home dragging one looking very pleased with herself while we all did WTF faces

Papergirl1968 · 04/11/2019 23:12

11 cats?!
All Savannahs?

Justonedayatatime11 · 04/11/2019 23:13

4 Savannahs, 2 chocolate Suffolks, a Siamese and 4 moggies. And a partridge in a pear tree! Grin

Supersimkin2 · 04/11/2019 23:14

Cats are really thrilled when they bag a pheasant. I can't be a hypocrite, I love them too (roasted with a hot packet of crisps).

Pheasants are bred to be a bit on the slow side so city workers can pick them off with a shotgun and think themselves posh. Bankers can't shoot so these days you get a bird that's as spherical and landlocked as they are. Miles better to flap to heaven via the cat not slow death of a thousand pellets.

Supersimkin2 · 04/11/2019 23:15

Oh Just how lovely.

Supersimkin2 · 04/11/2019 23:23

Just How d'you get all 11 in the bed at night? Do you have to scuttle upstairs at 8pm to get first dibs on the pillow? and a tiny corner of mattress? Before the furry invasion at lights out...

Papergirl1968 · 04/11/2019 23:49

Blimey. Two cats keep me busy - and eat me out of house and home!

coastergirl · 05/11/2019 05:34

@Fluffycloudland77 that's the thing they do do...refusing to come in. Much better when it's raining and they take refuge in the house.

I think I jinxed myself by calling them boring. We had brief 4am zoomies.

ClientListQueen · 05/11/2019 08:50

Ollie needed to stock up on love and hugs I think. Slept all night next to me on the pillow, purring away happily Smile

Justonedayatatime11 · 05/11/2019 09:07

Pfft, if I tried having all 11 in bed with me my poor DH would be dead. Wouldn't change them for the world but they are hard work! And that's before you add in the carnage of pheasants/pigeons/squirrels/mice Hmm

YetAnotherSpartacus · 05/11/2019 09:19

And a partridge in a pear tree

I thought it was a pheasant?

Supersimkin2 · 05/11/2019 14:36

I don't know how you do it.

Justonedayatatime11 · 05/11/2019 16:22

I love it! Although it's pretty demanding. They're all spoilt, have a big catproofed garden with lots of climbing places, both trees and some we've had made. Nothing makes me happier than sitting out in the summer with them all racing around like loons

Supersimkin2 · 05/11/2019 17:38

Life of Furry Riley :)

They must love it to bits.

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/11/2019 18:36

MrJustone probably opens the front door with trepidation every night wondering how many cats there will be now.

Is there a sign in the hallway with “x days since a new cat arrived”?

11 is an odd number, I would need an even number or my eye would be twitchy.

Justonedayatatime11 · 05/11/2019 18:38

Fluffy you're not wrong. Poor bloke. But then I quite frequently find him wandering around carrying one like a baby and talking to her in a baby voice... he loves them really. There will be more (many more) next year as my Chocolate Suffolk's will have kittens

Supersimkin2 · 05/11/2019 20:01

Someone we all know is coming round tonight. With a box.

Papergirl1968 · 05/11/2019 20:29

A box containing a cat, Lana? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Justonedayatatime11 · 05/11/2019 22:06

Ooh, what's Nurse Lee bringing you?! Grin

Supersimkin2 · 05/11/2019 22:09

Thanks to TCN, I am a kitten foster parent.

1.3kg of white fluff is now my raison d'etre.

Am trying to make a good impression on my tiny master so photos might to have to wait till morning. We are both currently getting over the excitement of the evening with an early night.

TheLongRider · 05/11/2019 22:11

Ooh, I'm intrigued!
