Took this a moment ago. Socks is now entertaining herself dragging a trainer around the floor.
Favourite toys are her own tail, a peg and aforementioned trainer Confused

I think socks is in charge isn’t she?.

Supersimkin2 · 02/10/2019 20:44

Matt is currently on Threads I've Started

'AIBU to find toddlers annoying?'

He needs a fuss made of that belly.

Papergirl1968 · 02/10/2019 21:08

Yep, that face says “why the hell did we have to bring this little rat into the house?” Grin
She skips about at 100mph, taps his paws, finds his tail endlessly fascinating and occasionally commits the cardinal sin of walking under his belly.
And when he occasionally loses it with her and snaps at her he has me roaring “Matt, leave poor Socks alone. We don’t bite our little sisters!”
It’s a wonder he hadn’t moved out in protest.
On the other hand (paw?) she runs to greet him when he’s been in the garden for five minutes as if he’s come back after a round the world trip.
They’re very cute together.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/10/2019 21:18

He’s teaching her cat manners.

YesQueen · 02/10/2019 22:01

I'm not quite sure what Ollie would make of a kitten BlushGrin

OP posts:
Supersimkin2 · 02/10/2019 22:07

Ollie's got Paws.

Matt needs extra cuddles. He is Top Cat and must be reassured. Only then will he love Socks properly.

Papergirl1968 · 02/10/2019 22:15

I think he is teaching her manners. And washes her sometimes too.
You’ve had another name change, Lana. This time a subtle one.
Are you doing ok, lovely lady?

coastergirl · 02/10/2019 22:39

Bertie is being exceptionally cute tonight.

Aww, what big eyes!

Supersimkin2 · 02/10/2019 23:19

I can never get back into MN when I log out by mistake except with a new name.

Am doing ok, which is a relief.

Papergirl1968 · 02/10/2019 23:29

Very glad to hear it.
I never log out. Haven’t got a clue what my password is.
You’ll always be Lana to me anyway, just as YesQueen will always be Ollivander Smile

YesQueen · 02/10/2019 23:40

O has just clambered in my bed, onto the sheepskin and slammed his tail over his eyes. Apparently it's bed time

OP posts:
YesQueen · 03/10/2019 06:45

Well Ollie and paws have been tearing around the place like kittens. Squeaking and jumping out at each other
Guess what I found on Paws this morning...?

OP posts:
Fluffycloudland77 · 03/10/2019 06:56

A collar?

YesQueen · 03/10/2019 07:14

One better. Microchip

OP posts:
Fluffycloudland77 · 03/10/2019 07:53

Ooh, exciting.

Supersimkin2 · 03/10/2019 08:53

Yes you might wish to tell Ollie that he's got the choice. If Paws' microchip 'humans' aren't interested....

Stick a stamp on Paws and a label saying SW4.

Up to Ollie, that one.

Supersimkin2 · 03/10/2019 08:58

Under normal circs no way for me but we can't have Paws homeless when there is a chaise longue, 24/7 M&S deli waitress service etc etc. I can liaise with CPL.

I suspect Matt secretly loves Socks in the manner Carson loves Lady Mary. The best thing about cats is how they get exasperated and get over it really quickly.

YesQueen · 03/10/2019 09:08

I am awaiting CP to chip check for me. They were hilarious this morning squeaking and jumping out at each other with me hissing "stand STILL so I can scan you" Grin

OP posts:
Supersimkin2 · 03/10/2019 09:19

Can't you just change the chip address to yours?

We had a nightmare here with Merlin, the vast, vocal white Siamese who the caretaker has faithfully fed and sheltered for years. We've all piled in with food, cat house, vet, etc. When Merlin's owner was contacted via chip, the bloody woman wouldn't give him up, despite Battersea Dogs' Home pointing out everyone else was keeping him alive. Esp caretaker who is easily 300 years old and has to get Merlin up with a gong at 6am as they are both deaf. Anyway, there's nowt we can do except look after him.

YesQueen · 03/10/2019 09:21

We shall see! Trying to work out if he's a six dinner size that just happily wanders outside or is poor neglected kitty

OP posts:
YesQueen · 03/10/2019 09:42

Paws is a girl! And only 1
As far as I've got

OP posts:
YesQueen · 03/10/2019 10:23

Ok so Paws has a home! And is actually a boy but registered as a girl
He clambers out the window which is how he gets in and out. And his real name is incredibly apt and I've just spent 5 minute howling when she told me Grin

Papergirl1968 · 03/10/2019 10:36

So does Paws live really close?
