Come one, come all to the Olli et al. appreciation thread.

Mr C has started wheezing again. Give me strength.

On the upside, might see Nurse Lee tomorrow. Not in my skimpy lace nightie, Spart (good plan tho Grin).

As long as they have yellow stickers...

Papergirl1968 · 04/06/2019 18:46

Poor Mr C, and poor Lana!
I would object in the strongest terms to the vet in the hope that Nurse Lee pops round with a bunch of roses!

Supersimpkin · 04/06/2019 20:06

We've nearly finished the final crap removal wash in the machine and I have just returned, exhausted and foul tempered, from getting cat sticks. The Lik e Lix burst all over me, it's that day today.

To be honest, I'm struggling to cope - the endless vomiting, the shit everywhere, the relentless medicating and feed schedule - and that's not counting his non-cooperation. I'm just too ill, these power pills are knocking me out and the leg is awfully sore.

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/06/2019 20:15

You need respite care for him.

Supersimpkin · 04/06/2019 20:27

Don't tempt me. Do you think YesQueen would notice another NMC? I reckon I'd get at least a weekend off before Olli mentioned it.

TheLongRider · 04/06/2019 21:04

Mr. C and you are having a bad time. I know it's a horrible question, but what is his prognosis? It seems as if he's much worse.

Flowers
Supersimpkin · 04/06/2019 21:20

Well, the vomiting no one knows the answer to - but there's something wrong with his throat. No further details. Is on new megasteroids that somehow I have to get down him. His breathing and snot is rubbish too, that's FIV. Arthritic to buggery. Snoring dB is past belief.

He's bloody old for an FIV cat, getting skinny, clumsy and tired. Still loves life, though. He particularly likes me doing everything he wants, puts a spring in his tail.

This afternoon he pottered round the flat; my job is to walk behind him very slowly. He likes leading the way.

No one's given me The Leaflet yet. But I looked it up online.

YesQueen · 04/06/2019 21:53

@Supersimpkin I would DEFINITELY notice another NMC
Drama here. NMC (black and white, looks faintly shocked all the time) is outside running around howling, in the pouring rain. Me, stupidly, shouts cat in. NMC comes in, Him and O generally get on. Not tonight and mild scrap happens. NMC now back outside screaming pitifully and soaked wet through
Ollie doing giant eyes "WTF happened mama" face at me ConfusedConfused

Supersimpkin · 04/06/2019 23:10

Oh No, that's awful. Has NMC got a home to go to? Can you, er, ring them at this unsociable hour?

Mr C has flobbed out his most expensive pill. Why the vet keeps giving him gobstopper-sized tablets for a swollen throat, who knows. I've sunk it into tuna and scuttled out refusing to feed anything else Grin

YesQueen · 04/06/2019 23:42

Not s clue which house it's from. All seems quiet now. Ollie is alternating between pulling the blind back with his paw and screeching at me about "BAD KITTY" Grin

YesQueen · 04/06/2019 23:58

Oh lord, it's back outside howling frantically

YesQueen · 05/06/2019 00:35

Update that I've fed it going by the "better fed than dead" thing and it's consumed the dry food by opening its mouth and scooping like a hungry hippo. Think it was v v hungry

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/06/2019 06:49

Odd for a pet to be that hungry. Does it look in good condition generally?.

YesQueen · 05/06/2019 07:32

It's a bit skinny TBH, wouldn't move from outside and was just wandering around howling. I'll keep an eye tonight and see if it's back, bit concerned about it

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/06/2019 08:29

Paper collar time. Lots of people move house in the summer to get into sćhool catchment areas.

I hope no ones fucked off leaving that cat behind.

YesQueen · 05/06/2019 08:46

I shouted it and it came full pelt along the pavement to me. Checked and I reckon it's been about for at least two years

Papergirl1968 · 05/06/2019 09:20

Lana, I hope you’re feeling a bit better this morning. I’m so sorry for both you and Mr C. You’re wonderful, you really are.
And you are too, Ollivander, to care so much about the poor NMC.
In fact all of the Litter Tray regulars are amazing and supportive of each other. You’re all wonderful!
(Feeling sentimental this morning)

Supersimpkin · 05/06/2019 09:27

Owners might have gone on hol (buggers) rather than just scarpered.

Can you afford to feed him/her for a week while the paper collar does its job?

The Pied Piper Refuge has opened its doors to new business. Olli and Ginge are going to need diversity-and-acceptance classes.

Supersimpkin · 05/06/2019 09:37

Paper you and Matt are amazeballs, the dream team supporting DDs through all manner of teen trials. We're all in it together, aren't we. Petcare Principles to the End!

Thanks so much for being so nice, it makes a massive difference when one is glum, housebound and brandishing a sick bucket.

YesQueen · 05/06/2019 09:50

Yes I can feed it if it keeps appearing! I have someone with a mobile scanner so I'm going to keep an eye and see what happens
Really felt for it, poor thing was sodden but after scrapping I couldn't let it in

YetAnotherSpartacus · 05/06/2019 13:19

How is cozietoesie ?

YesQueen · 05/06/2019 20:28

It's back. And limping Hmm

Supersimpkin · 05/06/2019 20:31

Now that's the question... I expect her and PB are being serenely companionable in refined peace and dignity Grin

I could shoot my sodding cat. He was helpfully peeling my eyelids open this am pre-dawn and his claws sort of fell into my eye.

There was nothing either refined or dignified about my language.

No stress, still on power ABs so it's clearing up lovely. I made up the other side as a 'smoky eye effect' to match

I need a Cone of Shame to stop him scratching (me) Grin

How is NMC?

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/06/2019 20:36

You were going to end up with two cats eventually, it’s only a wonder you lasted this long.

Supersimpkin · 05/06/2019 21:21

Yup.

There's 0 to say really.
