What is everyone's cat up to today?

Today I am 26 weeks pregnant and my cat Freya is communing with the baby. Mainly purring and gentle pawing in response to little kicks. I am hoping they'll be friends! Meanwhile Maisie is looking on disdainfully. She's in the huff because I tipped her out of the pregnancy dungarees, which she had commandeered as her personal nest.

What are your furry overlords all up to?

Sybil does love a box - but I'm not convinced of the veracity of the labelling.

My girl is looking pretty today. Its amazing what a new bag of Dreamies can do.

This gorgeous long-haired tomcat has been visiting me recently.

His facial colouring reminds me of another animal.

I'd be interested to know if anyone thinks the same as me.

Well he can't be a badger because they have a white nose and black stripes either side.

I didn't really mean his facial colouring, it's more the shape of his markings that put me in mind of a fox.

Now then, is this unusual?

This is one of my girls (2½ years old) in her preferred 'getting her breath back' resting position, after a spirited play session.

I've had cats for forty-plus years, and none of them have ever done this.

I believe it's called 'splooting', and lots of Corgis do it, apparently.

And, before you all ask, there's nothing wrong with her hips

Want2beme - he's a real battle-scarred bruiser. I'm guessing that the white cat likes him enough to share the space?

TheLongRider, correct. He's lived in my neighbourhood for years, coming and going infrequently to my garden. I've always kept an eye out for him, but he would never come close. I moved away for a few years and when I came back he was still around! I've spent the last 2 years trying to tame him, and during the last year he's finally become a bit of a "home boy". His fave sleeping place is now my bed, which is Dolly's, (the little lady behind), territory. She seems very happy to have him on board, even though he's starting to take over. He's very gentle with her and she gets very excited when he's around😻. She's a real scaredy cat, so I've taken things very slowly with them. His name is Bertie and I'm delighted he's chosen to settle down with us.

He's going to the vet next week for his microchip and injections. I had him castrated a year or so ago. He was a filthy lad, but even though he looks battle scarred with a huge Tom cat head, he is now very clean, apart from his nether regions, which he can't reach because of his very fat belly.

It's always a novel worth reading when it concerns cats.

I wonder if he has arthritis if he can't reach his bits. We had an ex-Tom like that, he also was filthy and smelly but once he got the snip and regular meals he was a different beast. Our girl cat would also flirt with him

All four cats are curled up asleep. Not happy with being the only female and the only grey cat in the house. I noticed today that Sybil is curled up in the opposite direction to all the boy cats.
So 3 counterclockwise (from underneath) black cats here.
