What is everyone's cat up to today?

Today I am 26 weeks pregnant and my cat Freya is communing with the baby. Mainly purring and gentle pawing in response to little kicks. I am hoping they'll be friends! Meanwhile Maisie is looking on disdainfully. She's in the huff because I tipped her out of the pregnancy dungarees, which she had commandeered as her personal nest.

What are your furry overlords all up to?

YetAnotherSpartacus. No, actually she really really hasn't forgiven us. She now has sole access to our bedroom at night since that seems to cheer her up and turns the purr back on. Her favourite vantage point is now the ironing board.

TerfCat is being annoying as usual: he alternately screams for food and sleeps the sleep of the untroubled. (I mean, it's fine for him - he doesn't have to work or pay the mortgage.)

Still he looked happy when we left him and had come out into his run

I think she likes the results of our DIY flat pack building yesterday....

How worried should I be that one of my cats has produced a big hairball 2days in a row? Any products that are good for easing them out the other end?

He very proudly went outside to take a shower then came and dried off on me with a loud purr. think even DCat is glad of the rain. He's gone back out to get wet again now.

dementedpixie we've found defurrum paste quite effective, IF you can convince them to eat it. I put it on maisie's paws and she licked it off, but freya is too smart and managed to wash it off in a puddle in the garden.
Have also tried mixing it with lik e lix, again maisie tucked in and freya looked at us like we were trying to poison her.

Stole a quorn cocktail sausage, growled when DH tried to retrieve it, then ran off carrying the sausage in his mouth cigar fashion to eat it.

Today Dolly and I went for our yearly check up. Jeez she screamed from the minute we got outside. She is so not like her sister who lives to travel. I didnt realise those sounds were coming out of her. She is 4.5 which im pleased about i thought she was more. The vet said she was strange but attractive! i think men have said that about me and she got her scissors out and gave her a good going over. Daphne has been hortibke to her since we got back.

Ah yes the philosophical staring out of the cat flap.

This was at 1am today. We all woke up when we heard OH pull into the driveway coming home from work! The baby seems to want to dance it's way through the 3rd trimester, I'm sleeping really badly and while usually I sleep through their night time pawings I feel like I'm getting woken every hour by either baby movements or cats on my head /nibbling my toes these days!! Aaaagh

Caught her sizing up to a young fox last night. Screaming and hollering at him, she was.. Didn't get a pic of it, obvs., but here she is in screeching mode!

I used to give old girl, prolific producer of hairballs, a couple of ml of liquid paraffin from a syringe ( suggested by vet).
She seemed to quite like it!

We've booked Ern in for another day...well morning in the cattery, hope he will forgive us.

Little cat threw up a hair ball closely followed by her tea, which was totally undigested, on the back patio. Went back to clean it up an hour or so later to find the whole lot had disappeared, hair ball et al

My puss-puss is snuggled up on his bed on our bed. I would put a pic up but the pooch is stopping me from moving to do so (I am poorly with the flu pox hence in bed).

Dolly would not come in last night and even at 8am I had to call her when I thought she’d been waiting at my door. Even then she came in and ate for five minutes and had now disappeared. She’s nowhere in the flat I don’t know what’s she’s found outside.

I’m trying to clean the carpets and have to step around this sleeping lump 😻 No idea he likes to sleep like this!

DC is outside sulking by the shed.

Yesterday I had my floor latexed ready for fitting Saturday and we locked the cat flap - with full use of the shed, plenty of food and water etc - he could also come in the front door but just stared at me and stalked off when I called him!

It was done at 4 and needed 4-5 hours to dry before I could open the catflap up but I fell asleep at 8 on the couch and woke up at midnight! Unlocked the catflap, he literally poked his head through, saw me and walked away again.

He's being all teenage emo cat looking out sadly into the distance and ignoring me.

Poor Woody cat is just exhausted in this heat and keeps flopping on the tiles but even they're too warm now. He spent a rare night in bed with me last night under the air con and was ecstatic

Sleeping. We had a bunch of teenagers here camping out in our garden fir a couple of days. Policing their activities and investigating the sleeping bags has been exhausting..,,
