What's your DCat up to today? (Thread 7!)

I wanted to reply to @EachandEveryone but thread number 6 is full! That cooling mat thing looks fab.

What is everyone's cat up to today?

Today I am 26 weeks pregnant and my cat Freya is communing with the baby. Mainly purring and gentle pawing in response to little kicks. I am hoping they'll be friends! Meanwhile Maisie is looking on disdainfully. She's in the huff because I tipped her out of the pregnancy dungarees, which she had commandeered as her personal nest.

What are your furry overlords all up to?

You can tell Sybil is the boss in that relationship! Look how much room she has on the lid.

Oldraver · 29/08/2019 09:39

Ernie 'cuddling' me last night

YetAnotherSpartacus · 29/08/2019 09:53

Ernie!!!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 29/08/2019 10:04

Ah 'cuddling' - a synonym for savaging. Grin

Oldraver · 29/08/2019 12:23

Ah no Grumpy, this is definite cuddling. He pushes his face into my hand and pulls my hand towards him and I have to rub his face. He wraps his paws around my hand and holds it there for ages, half an hour last night. He can hold on really hard as well.

Of course he does do the savaging with bunny kicks thing as well

EachandEveryone · 29/08/2019 19:34

Well we have a tiny 9 week old human in the flat. I offered to take her for the night and the parents couldnt wait to run away 😄. Shes very loud and the girls have ran off to ther parts of the flat. I just hope that they dont feel too left out when i dont let them in my room tonight. I also hope they dont pee on her things.

Oldraver · 30/08/2019 09:12

I came down at 8.30 (after being woken at 3.50) to see this out the window

He hasn't been up the tree for ages so we'd moved the trampoline, so he was crying as he couldn't get down

YetAnotherSpartacus · 30/08/2019 11:19

Oh no! Poor Ernie!

How did he get down?

Was he spoiled rotten after he reached the ground?

Oldraver · 30/08/2019 13:26

We had to move the trampoline back over. He had got quite used to jumping down on it a few months ago when he used to go after the pigeons.

I think he had forgot what to do as he took agesto get up te courage hence being able to take photos.

He might if had a few Dreamies and a bit of a telling off

Yesterday OH was going to work 5.30am ish and found Ern in the road that is parellel to ours. He stopped and told him his Mum would kill him if she knew where he was. Ern just glared

Oldraver · 30/08/2019 15:31

Well looks like the neighbours are not in the Ernie fan club

YetAnotherSpartacus · 30/08/2019 15:45

Oh dear. Poor Ernie! And sorry your neighbours have no taste.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 30/08/2019 15:53

It's 30 °C and very humid, so Sev is flopping from one sleeping place to the next. He walks a few steps and then theatrically falls to one side and looks helpless and exhausted. He can keep this up for the whole day.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 30/08/2019 16:12

Do you have a bath? I know of cats who migrate to the bath (empty) on a hot day.

Weezol · 31/08/2019 15:51

Bathcat. Hooman photographer uncredited sadly.

Tonks is enjoying her first lap top since coming home from Blue Cross 3 days ago 😀

Lap time not lap top

Weezol · 31/08/2019 20:29

Tonks is so lovely. All that floof! She will find and colonise the laptop in the near future.

Mia184 · 31/08/2019 20:54

Mia appears to have let the external venetian blinds down at night - probably whilst chasing a moth. She was all tired today during daytime

We've had a dog stayingam for two nights and Ernie has barely left the bedroom --apart from 3.30am yesterday and 4.30 this morning.

I think he has forgiven us but OH was convinced he was rolling around where the dog had pee'd on the lawn. He didnt smell good whatever he was rolling in

EachandEveryone · 03/09/2019 08:49

Mine are circling my suitcase. Im going to Krakow for four nights. Ive got a sitter coming in and my neighbour. We will see how it goes.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 08/09/2019 09:39

DH was awake at 4.30 and let the cats out at 5.30......looked outside to see our male facing off a mankin' huge fox Shock

He chased it (fox) then male cat came sauntering in Yeah, I sorted 'im Dad, he won't be showing his ugly little pointy ginger face again

I don't know what would've happened with a fox:cat stand-off , our cats are adults and fast , but foxes are evil little feckers brave opportunists .

TheLongRider · 08/09/2019 16:45

Apparently a fox won't attack a healthy cat. Mine take great delight in chasing off foxes.

Oldraver · 14/09/2019 11:09

OMG I have had to search for ages (and resort to my laptop) to find this thread.

What was the cat wee weirdo all about ?

Oldraver · 14/09/2019 11:14

Well Ern has been being a bit of a tinker and had spent a few nights outside as he wouldn't come in, the little monkey

He's also abandoned his toilet the last few weeks so this morning was lying in it. I've also just found a bald patch with a cut on it. It looks like it's healing but will keep an eye on it
