What's your DCat up to today? (Thread 7!)

I wanted to reply to @EachandEveryone but thread number 6 is full! That cooling mat thing looks fab.

What is everyone's cat up to today?

Today I am 26 weeks pregnant and my cat Freya is communing with the baby. Mainly purring and gentle pawing in response to little kicks. I am hoping they'll be friends! Meanwhile Maisie is looking on disdainfully. She's in the huff because I tipped her out of the pregnancy dungarees, which she had commandeered as her personal nest.

What are your furry overlords all up to?

You can keep your cardboard boxes! Washing machines are where it's at in 2019.

Booboo is gorgeous, I have a soft spot for Torties.

caoraich · 15/02/2019 20:32

Jacob warming my husband’s chair and leaving quite a fur deposit. Anyone else’s feline overlords shedding in this mild weather?

Plenty of shedding going on here too. There's a cat fur tumbleweed floating across my floor as I speak.

Iamnobirdandnonetensnaresme · 15/02/2019 22:57

Peeing on the bed because we dared to use the hairdryer!

ShortandSweet96 · 16/02/2019 09:06

Hi, jumping on!
This is floss, she's giving me evils because she knows she got to go for a trip to the vets today.
Currently on antibiotics because she came home on Tuesday evening with a poorly leg, turns out she had been attacked by another animal!:( she's right as rain now and is loving all the extra fuss and cuddles!

Floss , great name and a very stately house panther Grin she's gorge

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 17/02/2019 08:18

Posted this photo on another thread - so apologies for those seeing it twice.
But after 10 months of having the kittens - this is the first time that all of them have slept on our bed together overnight. Sybil still growls a bit (and Lenny does chase her occasionally) but we do seem to now have cat harmony again. Smile

Out for a walk today without being buffeted by wind or rain, or insisting on being carried due to cold paws.

We put their little triangle house at the top of the wardrobe as they kept covering the clothes up there in fluff anyway. It's proving popular but this is a teeny bit creepy 😂

Haha, love the eyes! I'm chuffed to bits as Maximus has curled up on me for a snooze - first time ever!

Jayneisagirlsname · 18/02/2019 21:20

Thank you tierraJ I think he's gorgeous too!
Maximus is currently sitting determinedly in my box of jigsaw pieces to teach me not to pay attention to anything other than him!

The furry overlords have had their P45s for gross incompetence and dereliction of duty!

Last night, the MouseHound (we have specialists in our house) brought a live mouse in to play with. The mouse ran into the lounge under the settee. DH said we can't have a mouse living inside the settee, running over food in the kitchen and spreading Weil's disease on DGD's toys. He moved the settee, so the mouse was on its own in the middle of the floor and let the MouseHound and Scourge of the Birds in to catch it. The Scourge of the Birds walked up to the mouse, sniffed it and walked off! The MouseHound meanwhile was running around, looking confused! DH had to sweep the mouse up in the dustpan and put it outside - the mouse's lucky day!

Production bonuses (aka Dreamies) have been suspended indefinitely!

Maximus has a new scratching mat. As you can see, no one else is allowed to touch it!

Oh they'd make excellent witches familiars! That's a compliment btw 😃

TheLongRider · 24/02/2019 14:27

The teenage tearaways are magnificent beasts!

Toomuchgoingon · 24/02/2019 15:40

Our elderly cat (20+) has just crapped on Dd's carpet ( we told her to keep her door shut, but forgot). Cat now made herself scarce for now. 😡

MontStMichel · 25/02/2019 10:31

Mouse Hound obviously felt under pressure and left us a different mouse dead on the kitchen mat on Friday morning!

Meanwhile Scourge of the Birds is oblivious - that cat is in a world of her own in the winter, where all she thinks about is where her next meal or cuddle is coming from! Come the summer, and chaffinches will be her number one thought!
