What's your DCat up to today? (Thread 7!)

I wanted to reply to @EachandEveryone but thread number 6 is full! That cooling mat thing looks fab.

What is everyone's cat up to today?

Today I am 26 weeks pregnant and my cat Freya is communing with the baby. Mainly purring and gentle pawing in response to little kicks. I am hoping they'll be friends! Meanwhile Maisie is looking on disdainfully. She's in the huff because I tipped her out of the pregnancy dungarees, which she had commandeered as her personal nest.

What are your furry overlords all up to?

I know it's not the done think on MN - but I have to report the 'teenage takeaways / witches familiars' are now in the habit of going out at 10ish in the evening and refusing to come back in until breakfast. Hate to think what they are up to - mugging old ladies and hexing the local wildlife perhaps? Since Basil is also out most nights that only leaves Sybil on the bed which she does seem to approve of.

Lock the cat flap?

At night, obviously!

Ah - never quite got round to fitting a cat flap...
And anyway the cats could always escape out of a window if they want to. In reality I have no problem with them being out at night if they so choose.

Maybe Basil is introducing them to his gentleman's club?

Mine go out at night and are usually back home by 7am for feeding. Last summer during the hot weather all the neighbourhood cats were hanging around outside on the green playing cat chasing games at midnight and showing off in front of each other. There were at least 6 cats from different houses. When I went to look for mine, they'd hide behind the neighbour's bins and pretend not to know me! I was embarrassing them in front of their mates.

The Mouse Hound is watching Master Chef. He has just walked round the back of the television; presumably looking for the food!

We've installed a loft bed for DS - Sev's not been up yet. He's circling - shark-like.
DD says he probably can't figure out how to use this type of ladder and jumping is too much of an effort.

When Sev cracks it, you'll never get him down again! It will become "his place" to be grudgingly shared with DS.

Unless Sec is not very bright, he can certainly work out how to use a ladder! DCat 2 loves the loft, and there is nothing she likes better than climbing the ladder to get up there! Trouble is when we pop up there to get something - 6 hours later, we wonder where is DCat 2? She sneaks up there when nobody is looking!

Ernie goes round the back of the tv, but goes through the tv unit as it has no back on it, probably looking for lost toys

We had a moving around of furniture this week and came up with this haul. The little white things are plastic ring pulls from DS 'S soya milk cartons, he loves them and carries around the house

Aw the tiny human is beautiful! I’m on my way up to Scotland to help look after another tiny human she’s four weeks today and my cousin has her hands full and a husband who works away so I’m pretending I’m going up there for a break,

Ive left my two at home with the neighbour. I just can’t be bothered trying to put them into the carriers anymore so it’s the neighbours good will and fingers crossed she doesn’t forget them.

I fear I have discovered what the kittens are up to at night. Apparently one was seen exiting our neighbour's chicken coop in the wee small hours of this morning. Chickens are ok except one who is in shock.
We have instructed the kittens to behave.
Mind you - one if the neighbour's dogs has started coming into our garden... (we think we now know where she is coming in)
I'm obviously bvu since we still get on very well with our neighbours and are very relaxed about these incursions.

Eating shopping bags and stopping Mama ironing.... mostly

Neighbour's cat is visiting (viewing the world from atop the barbeque). Ours are VERY unimpressed.
