What is everyone's cat up to today?

Today I am 26 weeks pregnant and my cat Freya is communing with the baby. Mainly purring and gentle pawing in response to little kicks. I am hoping they'll be friends! Meanwhile Maisie is looking on disdainfully. She's in the huff because I tipped her out of the pregnancy dungarees, which she had commandeered as her personal nest.

What are your furry overlords all up to?

Practicing his combat moves on the landing. Or wardrobe has fallen over , judging by the noise...

When I got up to go to the loo, Gatsby came in to see me. He got some pets and he did what we call the "flop cat" (you know, when cats flop on their side to be petted). We adopted Gatsby from friends when he was 2 months old, about a year ago. He had been rejected and was hand reared. He promptly decided that I'm his Mum This pic was taken a few months ago.

So DW went to feed the cats today and found a dead mouse next to their food bowls. We don't have a cat flap - the cats demand entry and exit via the doors and DW swears that none of the cats came in with mouse in mouth. House is only 25 years old and we don't have mice - so how did one of the cats smuggle it in unseen?

Nixon has just been picked up from his first ever stay in a cat hotel and loved it. He's been pampered like royalty

SO I have had a bit of a break from mumsnet - the Human Kitten wasn't well and I found that ironically it was making me more and not less worried....

But I am delighted to see all the cats still catting.

Freya and Maisie now love their tiny human but Freya is still a bit wary when the tiny human flaps her arms too much. Maisie would sleep in the cot if we let her... Here they are all cosy together (heavily supervised!)

Oh how lovely Caoroich some of my fave photos are of my old cats snuggled up to DS. I dislike all the 'must keep cats away from babies' that people get het up about. Yes you have to be careful and keep an eye out but in my experience cats know how far to go and just love snuggling up. Mine have gone on to have a fantastic relationship with their baby.

Ern is on house arrest and making one heck of a noise when he wants out at 5am. He has an injury to his inner eyelid and is on medication.

He is not impressed

Hencat is hiding having scratched the vet which was my fault for making her have her jabs. I actually said 'She's not usually like this' to him which is a lie.

More cat-pics please. I have a 2 hour wait hanging about for DS coming up. The one with the baby is too cute! (Just waiting for the warnings of sleeping babies being suffocated by cats or vice versa).
