What is everyone's cat up to today?

Today I am 26 weeks pregnant and my cat Freya is communing with the baby. Mainly purring and gentle pawing in response to little kicks. I am hoping they'll be friends! Meanwhile Maisie is looking on disdainfully. She's in the huff because I tipped her out of the pregnancy dungarees, which she had commandeered as her personal nest.

What are your furry overlords all up to?

Ebony prefers meat to biscuits!!

I've been looking through all your photos of your gorgeous cats and I'd love to join in...?
My sweet Oscar (female cat) died in April at 18 years old. Her ashes are on my mantlepiece until I plant an apple tree in her memory. My new cat Henry introduced himself to her ashes tonight. I feel like the baton has been passed and Henry will settle in and make himself at home here

My old rescue cat Millie died aged 10 in February before I adopted Ebony. I have her ashes upstairs.
I still miss her, it's horrible isn't it? Although having a new cat around really helps.

Aww BatCritter it sounds like she had a lovely long life with you, I'm sure Henry will settle in well. He's a lovely colour. We still have our cat Juno's ashes on a shelf and when it's springtime I think we'll plant her in a tree too.

Each thank you! We had a long time choosing but finally settled on a name! Cats are getting better every day and Maisie in particular seems to have befriended the human kitten, I haven't quite managed to photograph them together yet though.

Sleep is a distant memory and I have developed a new skill of making up gibberish songs to sing to the baby in the middle of the night - her cat sisters of course feature strongly as characters in these songs

Mine's just shot into the bedroom and woken me up, scaled an 8ft wardrobe, jumped back down onto the wicker headboard (against party wall) shredded it with claws, jumped up onto the other 8ft + wardrobe and climbed into the Christmas shopping, had a good rummage, slid down the side of the wardrobe and had another go at the headboard, leapt across to the chest of drawers, jumped onto that, had a good prowl around and has now shot off again. I'm wide awake

To say a proper hello, here's the Skitty Kitty responsible for Monday night's acrobatics.

I just don’t know what to do with this boy he’s come in and Daphne’s home in a huff

I fear I have neglected the cat chat (And the cats...) due to the tiny person

But today Freya out of the blue jumped up on me all purry and gave me a thorough head bumping. Genuinely delighted

She has also very gently but very briefly head bumped the baby's feet.

Fingers crossed they'll be pals after all

This was my boy this morning, looking all innocent on the beanbag. Since then he has found and destroyed 4 good hair bobbles, fallen out with me because I dared to shut him upstairs for 3 minutes while my shopping was delivered, walked all over me me like I'm some sort of cat bridge, and now he's under my bed asleep.

Gosh it's a hard life. Been snoozing on the bed since 5pm at least, with only a break for a spot of dinner.

My Ebony got very upset today, as a tabby cat was looking in the window! She was actually hissing.
