We live in the countryside and we were walking when we found the tiny one. I took her to the vet straightaway to get her checked. She has nasty diahorea but is quite bright otherwise. They gave me a deworming, a probiotic thingy...I try to give her kitty milk but she is not keen. She drinks water and some specialised food that I bought from the vet. I'm planning on offering food every 3 hours : milk-food-water...she is asleep on heating pad on low. What else can I do !? I'm really worried she is not drinking the milk :(

Just to say - my own Oneago was abandoned by his mother more or less at birth and was raised, along with his male littermate, to adulthood by his breeder. It can be done. Smile

She just ate loads but refused to drink. She drank then pooed and it stinks ! I cleaned her bum as well as I could but she hated it. She is now back to sleep. She loves the heating pad. She is on the dewormer for 3 days, it should be alright afterwards I hope.

Oh op she's adorable! I have no advice but well done you Wineor Flowers whatever's more appropriate!

Sweets101 · 25/11/2016 23:28

I would definitely wake her for feeds

cozietoesie · 25/11/2016 23:40

Is it a wet food she's on?

EstelleRoberts · 25/11/2016 23:43

That looks like such a cosy bed set-up! I agree she will need frequent feeds and drinks at that age, and with the diarrhoea. Poor little mite.

DogsandCats123 · 25/11/2016 23:47

Good luck!
She's so lucky you found her

GazingAtStars · 25/11/2016 23:51

What a lucky little kitten...I've got nothing useful to add but I hope she starts improving soon

GooodMythicalMorning · 25/11/2016 23:54

Get well soon kitty!

user1477462353 · 26/11/2016 00:15

Oh Lordy. She's so small!

cozietoesie · 26/11/2016 00:28

Playing will be good for her. Grin

cozietoesie · 26/11/2016 00:34

I wonder what colour of eyes she's going to have? Smile

RubbishMantra · 26/11/2016 01:53

The diarrhea is most likely because she'd not had food for some time before happening across you. Then the worming, vet visits etc.

Sleeping-wise, I second Cozie, that you have an inbuilt radar not to roll over on a small being. One of my cats was tiny as a kit, (small breed) and a very deep sleeper. He would sleep between DH and I and never got squished. Even now he's an adult, I have an inbuilt "catdar" that if I roll over, I check where he is in the bed, without registering.

She's lovely, and going to be quite a floofy little being, if that ruff's anything to go by!

Keeping posting updates. Who'd've thunk would do interested in the progress of kitten runny tummy. Hmm

user1477462353 · 26/11/2016 08:02

I followed your advice and I "slept" with a kitten underneath my double-chin 😂. She is now having some wet food. I think she is a very sweet nature, can't believe how affectionate she is already at such a young age !

Lovely update Smile

TopKittyKat · 26/11/2016 08:38

She looks adorable. We rescued a cat, similar age and circumstances, many moons ago. She turned into a lovely cat and was so affectionate - albeit a mischievous one! She always wanted cuddles. She lived to the ripe old age of 17 before sadly we had to have her pts last year.

GRW · 26/11/2016 09:51

She is gorgeous. Have you decided on a name first her yet?

BastardGoDarkly · 26/11/2016 10:02

Awww she's bloody lovely!

PotOfYoghurt · 26/11/2016 10:14

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/11/2016 10:17

torthecatlady · 26/11/2016 11:43
