Dowsing can be scarily accurate but you have to focus. So I've heard. Ahem.

Have you registered him as missing with the microchip company?

When William and Harry went missing I registered them with [http://www.cataware.co.uk/ Cat Aware]. You create a profile which is then tweeted.

Thinking of you and hoping he's home soon x

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 17/06/2016 20:57

Sorry, link fail - Cat Aware

hollinhurst84 · 17/06/2016 21:03

timtam23 · 17/06/2016 21:11

Oh no I was so sure he'd be back this morning...
Have you put litter/hoover bag contents/blanket outside to give him a scent to pick up? Don't lose hope - it is still very early days, everything crossed here for you!

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 17/06/2016 21:17

I think he's on my Twitter feed (not stalking, I still follow Cat Aware from when my boys were missing).

hollinhurst84 · 17/06/2016 21:17

Yep Hoover bag outside, treats outside

NotYoonique · 17/06/2016 22:01

Oh no! I hope he comes back soon

hollinhurst84 · 17/06/2016 22:03

Pink - yes he's just appeared on there

cozietoesie · 18/06/2016 08:48

Good luck for today. (Saturday is often the day that people go to sheds/garages/etc to check on things.)

hollinhurst84 · 18/06/2016 08:52

Thank you. Put a poster in another shop today. Am not doing house to house flyers tonight as I'm working all weekend and I feel like crap
Will start again tomorrow with them

thecatneuterer · 18/06/2016 09:47

Oh shit. I'm so sorry you're going through this. I really hope you find him soon.

hollinhurst84 · 18/06/2016 09:57

I did wonder if it's anything to do with the other cat loitering
Someone's said lots of foxes around ours Sad but he's a v v streetwise cat

OP posts:
thecatneuterer · 18/06/2016 10:00

Foxes are almost never a threat to adult cats so I wouldn't start thinking along those lines.

hollinhurst84 · 18/06/2016 10:08

Everyone is oh cats have two homes and I'm like seriously Ollie is like my other arm. He's so so bonded to me

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 18/06/2016 10:10

He'll have got himself shut in somewhere. Saturday might be a better day for finding him.

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/06/2016 10:10

Pretty sure mine doesn't have two homes & Ollie is a bonded cat.

Not like next doors ginger boy.

cozietoesie · 18/06/2016 10:13

It's not always so easy to explain bonding to people. When you have a bonded Siamese, for example, you're literally their whole world. They could hardly conceive of separation.

hollinhurst84 · 18/06/2016 10:15

Exactly. He sleeps on me, he guards me while I fall asleep, he washes my face constantly. Even CPL said he is constantly looking at me for reassurance

ElegantDream · 18/06/2016 10:27

Have you checked vets outside of your local area? Or checked that they have a way of communicating with each other?

I recently had to take an injured cat to the vet. I found him near to where I work. The only vet I knew where I could take him straight to is the vet I'm registered with at home. I probably past 4-5 vets unknowingly, but it was a emergency and I wanted him at a vet asap.

I live 20 miles from my work, so he could have travelled.

Ah! I've just remembered the microchip - they would have contacted you. I'm going to post this instead of deleting it in case it helps someone in the future.

hollinhurst84 · 18/06/2016 10:28

Area has one vet really but a few others sort of around the edge. All informed and his own vet which is out of area is aware too
On the posters I've listed his vet so if people don't want to ring me they can just take him there

OP posts:
ElegantDream · 18/06/2016 10:29

Have you checked silly places in your house?

Behind drawers in a divan bed/ behind cupboards.

ElegantDream · 18/06/2016 10:31

I say this because do trapped our cat in the small meter cupboard when it had been read - he just shut the door and moved furniture back in front of it. It was just the meowing that told him (really quiet)

hollinhurst84 · 18/06/2016 10:32

Definitely not inside. I don't have a cat flap so I physically let him out, and he hasn't come in if that makes sense
