Ollie is missing and I'm hysterical sobbing. Searching since 4am and no sign

My foster boy was missing 8 days too. I had all but given him up - there is only so much agony one can take before you have to try to start accepting.....then I got a phone call from across town.....

I am so hugely relieved for you. He's such a special boy.

I really think he became shut in somewhere and couldn't get to you.

Has he demanded outside yet?

This is so strongly Siamese behaviour. I reckon he has a good dose of that or Oriental in him. Smile

I dared to open the window and he shouted (croaked) at me until I shut it
Then I got blinks, chirrups and his happy feet dance (imagine a small child shuffling foot to foot because they need the toilet...) Hmm

I posted ages ago about his over grooming issues with his belly. Anyway he had some bald spots on his ears too which the vet thought was allergic reaction
In a fit of inspiration I've started him on antihistamines. His belly hair is growing back, he's stopped grooming it and his ears are healing. Amazed how well it's working
This is him unimpressed at me poking his belly

Is lovely Ollie fully recovered from his adventures? Has he stopped limping?

hollinhurst84 · 03/07/2016 00:06

He is! Still a little wary when I have a window open and eating loads and loads
Here is him tonight on his viewpoint and being ridiculous with me Hmm

Is he shrieking to go out or still being close? Smile

He's been out for a little potter in the mornings but that's it. Would rather be blinking at me Hmm

It sounds as if he became stuck somewhere and gave himself a fright then. I'd just enjoy his current homebody status. Smile

He's also gone from eating one pouch a day to four Shock

Well how much weight had he lost during his sojourn?

Report
cozietoesie · 03/07/2016 09:47

Although that's rather an increase.

Report
hollinhurst84 · 03/07/2016 09:48

He's about 3.5kg so he's lost maybe 1/8th of his body weight
I drew the line when he ate a full pouch then held his paw up for more 30 mins later Smile
