Help please poorly kitten

My 6mth old kitten (Teddy) has been vomiting white frothy liquid since Sat night. Took him to vet yesterday (because I was concerned about the stuff DH had put on the lawn last week) she examined him and did bloods but apart from slightly raised temperature everything was normal. She gave him an injection to help the nausea and he tried to eat a tiny bit of fish last night.
He was sick again last night but nothing since the only thing is he's still not interested in food. He is drinking a little and weeing so that's good but he is sleeping a lot and looking very sorry for himself.
Is there anything I can do/get him to help his tummy and tempt him to eat. Tried steamed fish and chicken and all his favorites but no interest so far.
We (Teddy and me) would be very grateful for any ideas. Thanks Here he is a week or so ago x

Have a look at some of your previous posts - he sounded to be having a good life in them.Smile

It's not always going to be a great day for him - as you recognise - but I reckon he's fairly OK. An improvement in his teeth would certainly be welcome, I'm sure, but Hey Ho. That may yet be achievable. Smile

My own old boy has been doing his dying duck in a thunderstorm routine for the last 7 years.

When he remembers! Grin

Yes I know you're right cozie, I think I'm disappointed for Teddy, he seems to have been on an even keel for a couple of weeks albeit with the teeth problem now he's got something else to deal with and last time it lasted over a month.
At least he's eating OK and if the weather improves soon hopefully he'll want to be out in the garden again 😃
He's just got up and Bobby's just gone out of the catflap so Teddy is currently sitting on the windowsill in the living room to see if there's anything interesting going on in the dark outside (quiet cul de sac so don't pull the curtains and cats & closed vertical blinds don't mix Smile ). No doubt he'll stay there until I turn TV off which is his cue for "supper"
He seems happy enough so onwards and upwards I think ☺

It may have lasted over a month - but he came out of it, didn't he? Fingers crossed for the lad. Smile

One day at a time.

anoldiebutagoody · 27/07/2016 09:23

Not raining this morning (yet) so they are both out in the garden, having had breakfast, looking to see if the birds are up yet Confused.
Teddy's still sneezing and was a bit unsettled last night but he seems alright this morning so as you say cozie, one day at a time.
Thank you Cozie, Time and Fluffy for last night Flowers.

No problem, that's what we're here for!

Glad the boys are having fun outside. Have any birds happened to land in their mouths yet? Hope it stays dry for them - it's raining here (again) so no doubt T will be in a mood with us when we get home!

Did you get my PM?

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 27/07/2016 10:28

Sorry, I've only just seen this. Teddy is a lucky boy to have such caring humans. Can we have another picture please, he's gorgeous!

anoldiebutagoody · 27/07/2016 13:46

Sun has come out and they are both in the garden stalking anything that flies - Teddy's sights are a little lower than Bobby's he sticks to flies and butterflies but never manages to catch the latter Smile. Birds are keeping out of Bobby's way too so the combined count so far today is nil😁
Teddy is brighter today and has had breakfast twice and was half way through lunch when a cabbage white flew past the back door so went haring after that.

cozietoesie · 27/07/2016 14:29

That sounds like a contented cat. Smile

anoldiebutagoody · 29/07/2016 13:40

Teddy's having a fun time today, running about like a nutcase wanting someone to play with him all of the time. He hasn't been this energetic for ages.
Here are a couple of photos from this morning when he was stalking a bee - at least he's learned his lesson and doesn't eat them since he got stung a few months ago.

There you go. Smile

cozietoesie · 29/07/2016 13:55

If he has got You Know What, he's got one heck of an immune system. (Even though it's being lovingly supported.) Smile

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 29/07/2016 14:07

He's a gorgeous boy! I love the ones of him stalking the bee

anoldiebutagoody · 29/07/2016 15:23

I think someone landed in my flowers trying to catch some flying prey Smile. Good job I'm no gardener and better it's my flowers than the neighbours Grin

They do look a bit squished. Grin

Do you know who the culprit was ?

anoldiebutagoody · 29/07/2016 17:47

Well Bobby was asleep on the bed so pretty sure it was Teddy during one of his manic episodes.
I was out with him an hour or so ago and he tried twice to catch a cabbage white, launching himself at them from a couple of feet away and then searching frantically in the grass convinced he'd caught them but couldn't find them, bless him he was so sure they hadn't flown away which they had Grin he obviously thinks he's invincible today.

cozietoesie · 29/07/2016 17:50

A sleepy day tomorrow then, maybe. Smile

anoldiebutagoody · 29/07/2016 19:11

Yes, cozie I should think it will be a quiet day tomorrow.
He's had dinner and his ABs for the calcivirus (he doesn't seem to be sneezing as much today either) about an hour ago and has gone to bed, so I don't expect to see him tonight before supper Grin

cozietoesie · 29/07/2016 19:16

Best to keep a close eye on his escapades, I think. He's looking quite male now and you don't need him to suddenly decide to be over the hills and far away.

anoldiebutagoody · 30/07/2016 20:50

Expected a quiet day today but Teddy was almost as active as yesterday😀
He was a little quieter this morning because it was cloudy and there weren't many flying things to chase.
By the time the sun came out around lunchtime he was on his feet non stop with just a couple of rests for lots of food and a wash. He even managed eventually to catch a cabbage white and was very proud of himself - I did try to get him to let it go but he wasn't having any of it - he just picked it up in his mouth and took it into the house.
Between that and climbing up inside one of the trees he's been having a great time😁
Now he's flat out on the windowsill in the living room looking vey contented.
I hope these happy days last but if not at least he's had a lovely time .
Luckily cozie he seems too nervous to go very far on his own, confident in his own territory but cautious about anything strange - he will follow wherever Bobby goes though , which is why I don't want him to go out at night until he's been done. He likes company when he's outside so if Bobby's sleeping I usually sit out with him so I can keep an eye on him.

TimeIhadaNameChange · 30/07/2016 21:10

Just a few day ago you were wondering if he was able to enjoy life - think you've had your answer today! Not sure the local butterfly population is so thrilled, mind!

Love the photos, he's certainly no longer a kitten! He's growing into such a handsome lad!

cozietoesie · 30/07/2016 23:19

I'm pleased he's having a good time. Smile

You'll need eyes in the back of your head if he has strong hormones coursing and a pretty bit of stuff wanders past yelling, though. Definitely no going out at night.

cozietoesie · 30/07/2016 23:23

PS - I'm afraid that any cat that wanders past yelling is 'pretty' when they're in the mood. No discrimination at all. Grin

anoldiebutagoody · 31/07/2016 17:49

😂 cozie, luckily we don't have many cats around here and the ones that do cross the garden are older and hopefully"done". The only things he gets excited about at the moment has to fly 😁 hopefully the hormones will hold off coursing a bit longer, fingers crossed but I'll keep my eye on him just incase.
Another happy cat day today in the sunshine but tomorrow we get rain so they won't want to go out. He's making g the most of it at the moment throwing dried leaves up in the air and leaping in the air - mad cat!
Last lot of ABs tomorrow so I'll see what he's like towards the end of the week and if he's OK I'll speak to the vet about getting him in for neutering.

cozietoesie · 31/07/2016 18:05

Good luck with the rainy day tomorrow. I guess it's too cold to have a fire on?

cozietoesie · 31/07/2016 18:06

Too warm I meant! Grin
