Another dumped kitten.

This time they found the box as well. Last time it was 4 of them and mine adopted them so they thought they were hers and I took them in. This time they've realised someone must be dumping them. Only one found. Exactly the same age as the other ones when they were found and looks exactly the same Sad

I've taken it in for now but I can't keep it on indefinitely because my 4 have a delicate balance as it is.

Why do people do that

Sorry, I'm being rubbish and slow! Whats going on? Someone's dumping kittens near you?? Bastards!

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/09/2014 18:18

Because they are bastards. I hope there's a special place in hell for them.

Hurr1cane · 21/09/2014 18:23

Yup. Last time there was 4 and my cat sort of adopted them so I thought that neutering had somehow gone wrong and took her back to the vets but they weren't hers and weren't being fed (very skinny)

This time it's just one. Looks exactly the same as the last ones, very skinny, only about 5 weeks old. Ill need to go out for kitten milk and bottles tomorrow even though I'm skint because I can't just leave it.

Then I'll have to nurse it to health and find it a new home. Because I have loads of time to do that with a disabled child and 4 rescue cats of my own.

Dicks.

If I get a photo when DS is sorted do you think one of you would be able to age it?

OP posts:
LaurieFairyCake · 21/09/2014 18:39

Where do you live? I'd love to help

CatKisser · 21/09/2014 18:41

Yes, where are you? If you're in the NE I would love to help, also.

CatKisser · 21/09/2014 18:42

Oh and I found Olive at 4 weeks so if you post a photo I will happily compare...

Hurr1cane · 21/09/2014 18:47

I'm in NW

Oh she's BEAUTIFUL.I cant work out her size from the pic... here's a pic of Olive, maybe you can compare. She was 4 weeks in this one.

Another dumped kitten.
CatKisser · 21/09/2014 18:54

Oh and I've found that at age 4 weeks their walking is that kind of uncoordinated stagger, while at 5-6 weeks it becomes a lot smoother and they start to run and skip...

Hurr1cane · 21/09/2014 18:54

I'm furious. It's so scared the poor thing, I think it is more used to people than the previous lot though. It's buried it's head in my arm pit and is shaking Sad

I hope it can eat cat food. Otherwise it'll just have to go the night without.

It's the spitting image of the other 4 as well.

5 months apart, about right.

wantacatplease · 21/09/2014 18:55

She looks smaller Sad.

Hurr1cane · 21/09/2014 18:55

Hang on I'll try to get a photo of her next to something.

wantacatplease · 21/09/2014 18:58

I so wish I could help but nowhere near you, OP.

Hurr1cane · 21/09/2014 18:59

Could be underfed she's very skinny poor lamb :( she's filthy as well. Covered in her own wee.

OP posts:
CatKisser · 21/09/2014 19:01

Right. I think she's 4 weeks. Can you mush up some cat food finely with some warm water? I did this forOlive and although she couldnt fully eat the chunks, she sucked the warm juice up.

CatKisser · 21/09/2014 19:01

I did have to syringe her some kitty milk as I was concerned she want getting enough fluid....I can post the mini syringe if you like? (Pinched it from school!)

Hurr1cane · 21/09/2014 19:04

Thanks so much. I had a little syringe from when I hand fed the others (they were 3/4 weeks as well :( I'll see if I still have them or if I've chucked them (I used to be a bad hoarder so I make sure I chuck everything I don't use now)

She's in the bathroom now (only room I can separate off for her from the other cats) with a dome cat bed and some food, water and litter.

I want to name her while she's here. I'm having a think.

I'm NW op (on the fylde coast) I also have experience hand rearing kittens so if you are anywhere near me I can help , I don't have transport though

Hurr1cane · 21/09/2014 19:07

Is that up in Blackpool? That's about an hour and a half on the motorway from me I think, and I can't drive on motorways :( I have hand reared before with the other 4. But I can't keep this one on.

But I think I used up my contacts rehoming 3 of the 4 kittens from last time (kept one, fell for her)

OP posts:
CatKisser · 21/09/2014 19:10

Gutted I can take her for you, but do let me know if you need any tiny syringes.
