Another dumped kitten.

This time they found the box as well. Last time it was 4 of them and mine adopted them so they thought they were hers and I took them in. This time they've realised someone must be dumping them. Only one found. Exactly the same age as the other ones when they were found and looks exactly the same Sad

I've taken it in for now but I can't keep it on indefinitely because my 4 have a delicate balance as it is.

Why do people do that

I'll wait till cats protection ring me then. Thanks. I have sent another email to them telling them that there's 4 of them now but yet to have a reply, bet they're very busy though.

Anyway, all 4 of them have had a cuddle and drank loads of kitten milk until they were full up and gone to sleep together in the cat bed. The rest of the milk I squirted over some kitten food and mushed it up and left it near them in hopes that they will wake up while if am out on the school run and go for some food.

OwlCapone · 22/09/2014 14:48

using a kitten as bait in a trap.

That sounds so wrong!

They are adorable.

Hurr1cane · 22/09/2014 15:39

Home now :) they all seem fine. Going back up with a bottle soon.

Thanks, have replied!

Hurr1cane · 22/09/2014 17:38

The first tabby kitten is eating on her own! The others aren't interested in food and are still very scared.

wantacatplease · 22/09/2014 17:43

Haha Hurr1cane I wish! But unless an emergency (I.e abandoned kits!) I think we've decided to rescue an older cat. Not that I wouldn't love a sweet little baby one!

fairyfuckwings · 22/09/2014 17:50

I got my cat from Oldham cats if that's near to you?

I have an older cat that was found as a kitten in a bin in London. The rspca thought it was most likely that the mother had given birth there rather than been abandoned there by humans. So perhaps that's what's happening with these litters?

Hurr1cane · 22/09/2014 18:05

Wantacatplease. I've wanted a little pedigree kitten since forever, but whenever I get a space and go to a rescue I always come home with the biggest mangyest cat there because otherwise they'd be in cat prison forever Grin

That's my plan too. I want the un-adoptable one.

Can't be any worse than the bengal.

Hurr1cane · 22/09/2014 20:14

Bottles for babies. It's going to be a long night, only one will eat for itself.

Another dumped kitten.

Aww, you're a lovely foster mummy. It's nice to see them all eating/drinking well.

Hurr1cane · 23/09/2014 11:06

Today I have realised that the kittens are too scared to come out of their dome cat bed and so are basically just pissing all over themselves Sad

So. I've been on a mission and have crafted a sort of kitten house out of 4 giant cardboard boxes (thanks to DS and his massive nappy delivery) with a sleeping and playing room and an eating and pooing room.

They've been washed, which they're very cross about, the cat bed has been washed because it was soaked in wee and they are now in the kitten house on one of my best cushions until their cat bed dries.

These ones are much harder work than the previous 4.

Sounds like you are doing a fantastic job! You've no doubt saved their lives Smile
(will pm you later)

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/09/2014 12:00

Have they pooed yet?.

Hurr1cane · 23/09/2014 12:17

No poo. Only one has been eating food though.

OP posts:
Hurr1cane · 23/09/2014 13:05

Should I be worried about the lack f poo?

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/09/2014 13:10

I don't know, if they haven't got much food in them they might not have any in them or they've been used to mum stimulating them to go.

But they obviously wee ok.

Hurr1cane · 23/09/2014 13:22

I've been stimulating them but nothing happens when I do, but they are covering themselves in pee though :(

In other news, today the kittens received a tub of kitten milk courtesy of a lovely mumsnetter.

I won't name her because I don't know if she'd want me to seeing as she Inboxed privately but it is so lovely of her Smile

FosterKittens · 23/09/2014 13:37

you could try them with some porridge made with kitten milk, thats what I gave mine to start them on solids, after a day or so they were all on kitten food

keep stimulating them and when they are ready to go they will tense up, I found the first couple of poos seemed very difficult for them :(

I had to clean mine until they were 6 weeks, then they got the hang of it

Good luck :)

crazynanna · 23/09/2014 15:01

Hurr1cane well done, lovely x

I can't help with rehoming sadly, but more than happy to send a few quid to you to help with kitten milk etc
