We haven't needed a cat litter tray for a while, but we now have one. I was getting concerned that none of the cats had been for a poo yet. Until I spotted DDog chowing down on a lovely brown nugget of deliciousness, cat shit. I chased her in an attempt to get it back, but she was having none of it. Gone, without a trace.

Won't be accepting doggy kisses for a while Hmm

Well dog1 seems tame after reading this.
He once found a shrivelled, dried up toad in the garden and brought it into the house dropping it on the rug at my feet I screamed and called my mum to rescue me Blush. dog didn't seem to understand why I wasn't pleased ConfusedShock

He has also eaten his own sick and brought a few chewed up slugs in the house 😷.

Dog2 is too young yet, but a gun dog breed, so a bit worried what horrors he might bring me. Hoping being show type will help prevent too many horrors.

Pippioddstocking · 16/10/2017 11:05

Outing me now but rolled in a dead badger that had been decomposing for about 6 weeks . The smell was horrendous !

ruby1234 · 16/10/2017 11:19

I might win this......

Many years ago I worked in a racing stable. Now and then the vet would come round to castrate the colts; this would be done under sedation and lots of local anaesthetic. The procedure was done in the colts stable.
After the vets visit we noticed one of the yard Jack Russells was missing, was quite worrying as he was one of 3 dogs who were always together. A couple of days went by and one of the lads found him asleep on the top of the hay bales. His face and legs were covered in blood and he absolutely stank. Turns out he had run off with one of the colts discarded testicles and eaten it and because it was full of anaesthetic it had put him into a deep sleep. He was sleeping it off on the remains of the bloody testicle. Was groggy and stinky for days.
We were more careful with discarded testicles after that.

Of the various Labrador type dogs in my family, we have had:

Dog1 ate half a bucket of wallpaper paste... made for some interesting emissions from both ends. That one regularly ate dirty nappies too.

Dog2 Rescue dog we had, first night ate 3 dozen eggs from the pantry, again interesting emissions.

Dog3 ate a long length of tinsel from the Christmas Tree, we didn't know until it started to come out of the other end.. needed pulling and went on forever. Shitty tinsel is not pleasant.

Neighbours dog ate a whole Christmas cake, shat out plastic santas and cake frill for days.

Brothers dog, having solemnly taken part in the sad burial of family pet rabbit, dug it up a week later and ate it. On the rug in the house in front of children.

FatBastardHead · 16/10/2017 11:33

Once I was really, really ill with D and V.

I was sitting on the toilet, vomiting into a bowl on the floor in front of me.

I had to get up and leave the room to get more loo roll. When I came back about four seconds later, the vomit in the bowl had gone and the dog was sniffing at the toilet bowl with intent.

Later that night the dog sicked up all my old sick.

Fucking hell.

wurlycurls · 16/10/2017 11:36

I had to pull a Peperami wrapper out of my dogs bum once. The green one 😄

BuzzKillington · 16/10/2017 11:59

Omg - the dog eating the anaesthetised testicle is bloody brilliant!

tinymeteor · 16/10/2017 12:34

In no particular order:

  • eats own shit
  • rolls in fox shit at least once a week
  • rolled in human shit once
  • rolled in a dead seal carcass at the beach
  • found and ran around with a dead squirrel with guts hanging out
  • begged to get on my lap for a cuddle, then sharted on my nice white tshirt.

The puppy books don't tell you the half of it.

tinymeteor · 16/10/2017 12:35

@ruby1234 you win!!

thenightsky · 16/10/2017 12:49

God... what was I thinking when I said to DH yesterday 'it would be nice to get a dog'. I think I must have false memory syndrome when I recall my lovely old lab. But its all coming back to me now. Grin

moomin4071 · 16/10/2017 12:54

I had some young boars castrated so they wouldn't breed with their sisters.

The vet did the job and threw the testicles to the side. Forgot about them. Went up later with the dog, she ate them all. Later threw up as I suspect the local anaesthetic didn't agree with her...

Was the dogs bollocks...

ruby1234 · 16/10/2017 13:00

Thought of another...

RubyDog, was busy paddling in a stream. Spotted her chewing something, caught her and had a look - could see a small foot hanging out of her mouth. I gave it a pull and not only was it a small foot, it was attached to a long leg, a body and another long leg which up to that point must have been in her stomach it was so long. Was a huge headless frog. I threw it in the beck and we carried on our walk. On the way back RubyDog did the 'loitering with intent' move, launched herself into the beck and found said dead frog and ate it again. Sicked it up on the doormat when we got home and ate it again.

CoolCarrie · 16/10/2017 13:02

Big dog wees on small dog if small dog is underneath him, as she can walk under him. Big dog welcomed us home with something in his mouth, looked like the string from the head of a mop, it wasn't. It was a rat. He was very pleased with himself, but I think the cats caught it and he was took the credit. He swallowed it and bought it back up, intact, about an hour later. He also eat a live pigeon once...

QueenJane · 16/10/2017 13:08

These are brilliant, your animals are all disgusting folks Grin

Ruby1234 Labradors are surely the most disgusting? They will also eat anything. Our Labrador (God rest her soul) ate so many interesting things over the years. A wet mouldy sock which had come off the line a few months previously and was in the bushes; the plastic end of the hose which attaches it to the spray gun; a large number of RAW potatoes; a large tin of dog meat, unopened. She chewed holes in it then sooked the slobbery meat out of the holes. Surprised she had any teeth left in her head, but she lived 16 years so clearly thrived on it!

One of our current dogs ate an unknown quantity of raisins. So we attended the out of hours vet, who gave her a shot of diamorphine to make her vomit. The nurse then fished about in the vomit and counted out the raisins Blush

Worn knickers and rotting corpses must be the worst? Tasty.

I know of a dog who has a penchant for raiding the bathroom bin for tasty little treats boak

*apomorphine....?

OP posts:
HoppityHopHop · 16/10/2017 13:22

Have a terrier cross and had to change the bin in the bathroom to a taller more sturdy one as used sanitary towels were obviously delicious 😷

My old cavalier King Charles loved fag butts on the pavement and once ate a mouse alive. We saw the tail hanging out her mouth and heard it squeaking, went to go get it off her and she swallowed it whole and alive

QueenJane · 16/10/2017 13:30

Yes Hoppity! I wasn't going to be as literal as that, but used sanitary protection. I think I'd rather they ate their own shit Hmm

Not me but my friend bought a puppy a few years back, we went for coffee and then went back to her house afterwards for a catch up. It was the first time the dog had been left home alone, not crated or confined to one room. We walked into piss and shit and sick everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE. Decided the tiny poodle thing couldn’t possibly get upstairs so we chucked her in the garden and focused on cleaning downstairs. When the house was clean we let her back in but she still looked guilty, that face that dogs do when they do something bad and know they’ll be shouted at. Didn’t think much of it, just thought she was feeling sorry for herself after being kicked out. Anyway, about 4 hours after being there I went upstairs to the bathroom to find used tampons and pads chewed up and thrown all over the bathroom floor, it was like something from a horror film and it stank to high heaven Sad poodle is now 3 years old and is the reason for stair gates in my childless friends house

Waterfallgirl · 16/10/2017 16:30

I am crying here. But so glad I am not alone. DDog the lab does all of the above and I am constantly embarrassed on walks. As a so called retrieving dog she has never quite got the "retrieving in one piece to bring back" thing. She has caught and eaten many a rabbit, squirrel and mouse, the more rotten the better, but thankfully never a rat. The best worst thing she ever did was catch and try to eat a duck. Sad to say the duck defeated her ( too many feathers) but didn't live to tell the tale. She is truly vile.

KittyLover91 · 16/10/2017 16:44

My dog eats the cat shit too! Dirty bastard!

KittyLover91 · 16/10/2017 16:46

ruby1234 - shitty tinsel hahahaha!

TickleMcTickleFace · 16/10/2017 16:51

During potty training one of my DC shat on the floor. Whilst we were out of the room getting the cleaning up stuff my dog ate it Envy not a great Christmas Day morning. He also ate my vomit when I had morning sickness, making me vomit more.

LOL.

My disgusting dog eats human poo at the local park where drug addicts congregate, smoke crack and then find themselves unable to control their bowels.

Disgusting, but overall a great anti-drug message for my kids.

insert1usernamehere · 16/10/2017 19:35

I'm so glad I'm not the only one - in fact, some of your lot make PestDog look positively civilised Shock

Though I will join the select group of people who have had their worn knickers licked by the dog... Blush

QueenJane · 16/10/2017 19:40

Licked? Eaten whole more like 😂
