Definitely sofa dog snugglers here. They are family. X

villainousbroodmare · 03/10/2017 18:18

No. I generally sit on the floor beside him though. Dog beds reek eventually even when the dog is clean and the covers are washed, and I don't want that. Also I think that inconsistent rules are unfair. It's not like the dog can take himself off for a bath.

tkband3 · 03/10/2017 18:26

Of course - whippets don’t do floors 😀😀. When we were on holiday and taking him to the pub for dinner with us, we had to take his big cushion for him to lie on 😀.

He also sleeps on our bed Blush.

Here he is, snuggled on ‘his’ sofa, with his favourite toy Smile.

Has he got a toy Mog? Grin

Same Grin

Pretty sure my lot would be ringing WhippetLine if we made any moves to keep them off the furniture...

KinkyAfro · 03/10/2017 18:34

Yep, she's part of our family so...

Yes - sofa is ok here - but dog does not go upstairs, so not on beds ever.

midshiresmum · 03/10/2017 18:38

Yes here but she’s so small that she can’t jump up by herself anyway🤣
Leather sofas - tbh children do more damage than the dog could

Nope. But he's up here with me anyway. He's not that snugly, he likes to sit in the seat we've just left. He rarely graces us with his presence when we are there too.

Ropsleybunny · 03/10/2017 18:54

No way! I love my dog but she's a dog. The sofa is for people. My MIL used to allow their dog on the sofa and when you went to visit the dog would be evicted so you could sit down. I still feel disgusted at the thought.

QueenBeex · 03/10/2017 18:54

Of course he's allowed on the sofa. He's as much part of the family as the children and anyone else. I wouldn't make them lay on the floor. Smile

Yes on the sofas, sleeps on the beds...he's part of our family and he loves a cuddle.

ClementineWardrobe · 03/10/2017 18:54

They allow me on their sofa.

QueenBeex · 03/10/2017 18:56

He wants you all to see this picture too.Blush

Yes, he's a sentient being not a pair of shoes.

Mupflup · 03/10/2017 19:04

Nothing that mupdog likes better than being on the sofa (tightly squeezed in the tiny gap between me and DH if we're on the same one). She's a rescue and she was such a sad anxious little thing when we first got her we couldn't bear not to let her snuggle with us whenever she wanted. Now if we're on separate sofas we compete to see who can win her over to be the evening's sofa companion (DH usually wins as she likes him best).

MissWilmottsGhost · 03/10/2017 19:13

Yes, DDog is allowed up on the sofa, but only when invited.

She also has a blanket to lie on that can be washed. She will not get up without the blanket positioned just so.

She will only sit on the sofa with me, not DH. DH gets very offended about this Grin

SolidHair · 03/10/2017 19:36

There is a strict 'no humans on sofa' rule in our house!

AnnaFiveTowns · 03/10/2017 19:53

Yes. And on the bed. And under the duvet...

pigsDOfly · 03/10/2017 20:14

Sofa, bed, where ever she likes really, but she's small and not smelly. Also waits to have paws wiped when she comes into the house if it's wet out, even if she's only been into the garden for a wee.

ladymelbourne1926 · 03/10/2017 20:26

Yes absolutely, she practically lives on the sofa.
Also is allowed in the bed when invited, (which is practically all the time cause I can't take the puppy dog eyes)

sparechange · 03/10/2017 20:27

Of course!
What’s the point of a dog if you can’t snuggle up to them while watching a film ConfusedGrin
