Just setting this up before the old one fills up.

For anyone new, this is a cafe where you can come, eat (calorie free) drink and be merry.

There are kittenbees in the café, which are kittens the size of bees, they are friendly but do nibble the pastries.

Outside are their larger 'cousins' the Bumblecats, they are not as friendly.

Leo is a Lemur who now runs the outdoor dog wash.

Florence is a French pastry chef, Fernando is a cocktail waiter.

Outside is a water feature and a petting zoo.

Do you have any Blacksticks Blue cheese @sashh ? It goes very well with a good ham .

Well there is a fair bit of cheese and ham so toasties, jaffles and Welsh rarebit all round.

Florence is making various breads to be toasted and Fernando is making limoncello sauce.

I have got a later start tomorrow, I get to have a lie in until 6am , and a proper breakfast.

Kippers? An excellent idea, lets have fishy breakfasts, so kippers of course, but also smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels, kedgeree and sardines on toast.

Florence is making the bagels and Fernando insists whisky goes with fish.

Hmm whisky , it's a bit early but if Fernando could put some in a hip flask I will enjoy it this evening when I have finished work.

Well I thought about doing egg and bacon but to make something a bit different I've asked Florence to make quiche. Either eat for breakfast or take as bait.

Fernando is making tomato cocktails.

I can't sleep tonight so a slice of quiche and a glass of wine is in order I think .

Irl there was a huge fire at the end of my road ( about 20 house's away ) nobody hurt but everywhere stinks of smoke

@ScottBakula ...Im sorry there was a fire on your street..that is so unnerving and like you said the smell is just acrid for days on end..@sashh 's quiche sounds just the ticket to take your mind off things.

Well inspired by a recent thread I'm doing bubble and squeak which will be made from leftover potato and cabbage, some sprouts and parsnip.

I'll serve bacon and eggs on the side.

Florence is making soda bread and Fernando is making bloody marys.

The ear tree looks like it is ready for picking so I'm taking Leo to pick pears (IRL it looks like I'm only getting 1 decent pear).

So when we come back Florence can make us a pear tart tatin and Fernando can start on making some Perry.

Pear tart tatin sounds lovely! Irl I'm swamped with slightly sour apples so will be making apple jelly today. I can bring some tomorrow if it turns out well 🙂

@sashh Thanks for sending Leo over , he was enthusiastically washing the outside of evenones houses and the 3 fire trucks . Please excuse any sooty fingers prints he leaves around the cafe .

Florance is a master baker , Fernando keeps us all topped up with cocktails fine wines and beer , Leo is very mischievous lemur that loves washing dogs ( and anything else that comes within reach ) , there are kitten bees and their bigger cousin bumble cats.

There is also a petting zoo .
And of couse@sashh who owns and runs the cafe and serves us all great breakfasts and pack ups .

It's wet and windy here so I think things on toast will go down well.
Florence has baked rye , sourdough, bloomers and wholemeal bread .
There is all the usual jams and Marmalades, plus beans , cheese, eggs , tomatoes, mushrooms and spaghetti hoops.

There is also marmite but I am going to leave it all there way over

Yes I have an Ear tree, it listens to gossip and grows pears.

I have recently acquired a lemon or lime tree, I don't know yet. I got it from a place that produces trees and plants to give as gifts but they sell off the 'imperfect' trees cheaply but you just say you want a tree.

Well I'm going to imagine the trees I have IRL have all produced their fruit so I have pears, lemons and olives.

So Florence is making olive bread with olive oil to dip id you prefer.

The lemon Fernando is using to add to G and T and limoncello. I'll make another pear tarte tatin.

Sounds lovely, here are a few jars of apple jelly, a few of hedgerow jelly and a spare Damson rosemary and black pepper jam that a friend gave me.

Florence is making some fruit tarts with the jam from @Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket and Fernando is working on a burned toast flavour cocktail.

I am jealous of you @sashh , I love the idea of fruit trees but I can kill a dandelion at 20 paces !

@ScottBakula I have not idea how / why the trees are thriving. I brought the olive tree home on the passenger seat with the top out of the sun roof. When I got home it had almost broken in two near the base so I tied it to an ole metal hook that had held a light and crossed my fingers. And here it is 10 years later.

The pear tree was a victim of the 'gardeners' who decided it was 'in the way' so merrily chopped it to pieces (they also mowed my veg patch). so it is an interesting shape but still growing.

OK breakfast.

Something simple I think yoghurt with fruit and nuts. Florence is making lemon cake and Fernando is making rum punch.

@StarsBeneathMyFeet I'll send the kittenbees over to see you, they occasionally do a synchronised dance / fly.
