Anyone excited for the final season of Succession? *Spoiler alert*

Omg YES! I love the actor! Josh Aaronson, Stewy and Marcia have to be the best characters 😂 I only have the hots for Stewy and Josh but Marcia is amazing. How she sold the flat to Connor for $63 million in 30 seconds🤣 She actually reminds me very much of someone I have known through work.

@MargotMoon Totally agree. Stewy is definitely hot! And he only supported the Kendall/Roman combination because he knows they are total idiots and he can control/screw them over.

Tom has to convince Shiv to come back and he will be over the moon with the baby news.

I’ve watched this morning’s episode but I won’t comment yet other than to say it’s superb. Predictably.

Agree, I like the characters Marcia and Stewy, so well-written and acted. I also think that Willa is excellent (I like that actress in Mrs Maisel too, and hope that she’ll be in other things now that these two shows have wrapped).

Watching now. Roman is wearing a blue cardigan! Is he channelling Logan?

Alexander Skaargard is amazing.

Oh my goodness! What a superb episode. I can’t wait (but I know I have to) until everyone’s watched it later and the in-depth discussion can start!

My God - how do they manage to up the tension every week. That was very fine. Ensemble, cinematography, threat, hilarity … Just outstanding.

So. Many. Questions.

All of which can wait until 10pm 😉

On a side note, I wonder how IRL Jess would be feeling about the Kerry situation. Jess has always been really professional and taken a lot of shit and just got on with things. Very different to Kerry (who I bet was quite annoying to work with). In series 1 Logan's EA is quite an elderly woman who looks like she's been with him for years. Jess is already there with Logan.

Kerry seems to have been happy to act as Logan's attack dog, so I doubt she made any friends at all among the assistant community.

Not specific to today’s episode (so no spoiler!) but I’m finding myself surprisingly annoyed at how much power and influence is in the hands of spiteful, unstable … children.

I guess that’s what Logan’s death has done - properly exposed the next generation and their interactions with their peers. It feels like one of those not actually hilarious TV shows where small children dress up in their parents’ clothes.

Is Shiv still pregnant? Was she just pretending to drink and do coke? Did she agree the kill list with Mattson as part of the deal? Did he really send his blood to that woman?

Oh, the boys thought they were in charge. Shiv did them up like kippers. I wonder if Gerri was in on it?

That was definitely one of my big questions out of this episode. She only pretended to do coke and had barely a sip of whisky but still.

It's hard to know how much she is intriguing with the genuinely disturbing Matsson and how much they are just flirting and trash talking.

Her scenes with Tom were deeply odd, WTF is she playing at with him now?

Very pleased to see the good old archery and axe throwing, altho for real authenticity there should have been a series of competitions about hammering nails into pieces of wood.

I’m still laughing at

1. the donning of compression socks on the plane,

2. the bewilderment of Tom when his wife starts flirting with him,

3. the wholly unwanted success of the tribute band.

This was the funniest episode for ages.

Oh and Greg! There were some hilarious Greg moments. The Quad Squad and The Economist article.

Don't forget Karl and Frank sitting outside the sauna, that was the bit that made me laugh out loud.

And gerri’s comments about soft Europeans.

a brilliant brilliant episode! Will have to watch it again. Such superb actors too.

When Tom tried to remind Mattson who he was I think my toes curled so hard I nearly broke my foot. It was excruciating 🤦🏻‍♀️

Shiv definitely didn’t do the coke, she screwed the lid back on.

Let me get this bit straight though:

Tribute band want to tank the deal but Mattson has given them an offer they can’t refuse (because he’ll just go to the board and they’ll overrule R&K because the offer is so inflated?). And do we think he’s promised Shiv something at the new-look ATN? She looked very pleased with herself at the end and looked like she knew Mattson’d got one over on the other two?

And yes, the compression socks was hilarious. No words needed, but conveyed so much. God it’s such a clever show.
