I thought it would be high time to get the TARDIS party going, now we're on a countdown. Has anyone else seen the clip from the first episode yet? Looking like good fun. I might even be persuaded to squee.

so good. so so good. I want to be River Song, just less bossy.

dreamed of those bloody angels. I hate you Stephen Moffat, but oh! how i love you as well.

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 25/04/2010 11:40

Oh yes, I covet the shoes even though the chances of their coming in my length and width fitting is virtually non-existent.

persephonesnape · 25/04/2010 11:49

possibly the girl-est thing i have ever linked to. ever.

JulesJules · 25/04/2010 11:56

Much much better than last week! Some good one liners (love the 'you always leave the brake on' and 'Sonic me!' bits) and some properly scary bits too. I was really hoping this one would be good, as 'Blink' and the Library episodes are two of my favourites.

Still want an orange Dalek to make my tea in the morning though.

JulesJules · 25/04/2010 12:00

Oh God, those shoes and I am a Birkenstock girl with not a heel to my name, but I WANT them. My hobbit like feet would never get in them however, sigh. And eek at the price!

MilkNoSugarPlease · 25/04/2010 12:12

Oh! I think I've caught up now! Thank you!!!!

Those shoes! Oh I need those shoes! I will happily sell my OH for them!

EggyAllenPoe · 25/04/2010 14:29

'DO YOU WANT SOME TEAAAA???'

i want a dalek kettle. can i have one in those Ikea-esque dalek colours?

JackieNo · 25/04/2010 14:33

Here's a tea cosy for your kettle, if you ever find one

serenity · 25/04/2010 14:48

Dalek Röd, Dalek Blå, Dalek Gul, Dalek Grön

Good thing about Daleks from IKEA, from our POV anyway, is that when it's time for the big battle, when they're really needed, they aren't around (What do you mean they're out of stock? I've travelled all teh the way from Alpha Ceti for this, just because your computer said they'd be here )

JulesJules · 25/04/2010 15:52

'DO YOU WANT SOME TEAAAA???' from my Dalek Orange ('orange' is the same in Swedish I think) would actually be quite alarming at 0630, wouldn't it?

CalmCalmCalm · 25/04/2010 16:42

I'd settle for a little mini one that could glide over my table as long as it took tea requests.

Do you think it's just Amy that doesn't remember the Daleks, or her compatriots in whatever the town's called?

JackieNo · 25/04/2010 17:04

Not sure if anyone's linked to this, but here's the story from the Doctor Who annual that 'Blink' is based on. No weeping angels in this one, though.

dawntigga · 25/04/2010 17:11

I honestly didn't think I'd like this Dr but I do.

madhairday · 25/04/2010 17:18

Ah, this was fab.

However my dd was up 3 times with 'bad dreams about the angels' and is saying she will NOT watch it next week (bet she will)

Great DW - what it's all about.

Pixel · 25/04/2010 17:36

That was much more like it .

Hermya321 · 25/04/2010 20:45

Brilliant episode, great stuff. Reminds me why I love Dr Who!!

noeyedear · 25/04/2010 20:57

Loved it! DS Kept wondering where the Daleks were though- He looked a bit dsappointed when I said they had gone away and may come back at Christmas!
I thought the data thingy with Bob was scarier than the Library one, just because it was so threatening. The Library one was just poignant and sad, whereas this was the angels using his voice to speak and threaten the Doctor. Can't wait til next week. From the trailer, it ooks just as brill! What a relief to actually enjoy it so much!

BecauseImWorthIt · 25/04/2010 21:03

Love it, love it, love it.

EggyAllenPoe · 25/04/2010 21:34

i expect i'd get there and find only Dalek Stokke (cheaper Pine-effect version of the one i actually want)..accept it was better than nothing,
get the flat packs home only to find that the turret thingy had to be bought in a separate box, and one of the wheels was missing.....

here is by dead-man Tardis self-destruct switch

SleepingLion · 25/04/2010 22:19

Re. Amy not knowing about the Daleks - where was it that I read something that suggested that in the first episode of this series, the Doctor went back to the 90s initially - so Amy's present day, iyswim, is pre-Christopher Eccleston/David Tennant adventures. Rory's hospital ID card was issued in 1990 - which means he looks really good for his age if Amy's present day is 2010!

My brain can't really deal with that (DH gets tired of me plaintively asking him to explain the plot of every single episode and how it all fits together - don't get me started on the River Song story ) - maybe someone can explain it better?

Idontknowhowtohelpher · 25/04/2010 22:36

dd2 was a bit freaked out by the weeping angels - then we watched the part of Doctor Who Confidential when the weeping angels actresses were dancing around and being a bit silly and that really cheered her up.

MilkNoSugarPlease · 26/04/2010 07:31

I watched "blink" on dvd last night....bloody scary! (as was the ones in the library that I also hadn't seen!)

And I'm really sorry die hard DT fans, having rewatched and episode with him in....I think I prefer MS!!
