In the second episode when Tom was telling his wife that they had lost all their savings, who was the girl in the room?? I thought his wife had given birth to their first child in the last series (and he had missed the birth because he was arrested)???

Tom and his wife had a son at the end of series 2; they have an older daughter too. Think she was already at school in the first series. Seem to remember Patty having connections to get her into a good school (but don't quite me on that!)
I didn't think Loius Tobin & the lawyer were necessarily going to have Joe Tobin killed, maybe just forcibly removed to a secure rehab clinic? Thought it was too obviously meant to make us think he was going to be bumped off. [trying to outwit scriptwriters emoticon]

I did. It's brilliant.

It's on the recorder - but I can't watch it tonight as DH is out and I promised I wouldn't - grrr!

I saw it but fell asleep - oops. As far as I can recall, nothing much happened apart from a few big moments at the end. May have to watch on iPlayer, though, in case I've missed something huge.

Will wait for the dvd to watch lots!

What on earth is up with Patty's dreams? I just don't get them at all. Although I don't know how this could possibly be a spoiler (although I could just be incredibly dense!) - what has the h---e got to do with things?

what was the storyline about her visiting a childs grave in the first season? I need to know this!

The person buried in the grave was Patty's daughter. As seen in the finale, thirty five years ago, Patty gave birth to a stillborn baby - erm from what i rem, it was her child who died and thats why she divorced her first hubby

Clearly she's still distraught about it and maybe that's even what caused her to be so cold and hard resulting in the person we see today. Either way, it seems she finally came to feel like Ellen was sort of a daughter to her. This would explain why she went to the grave after she put the attack on Ellen into motion and also why she told Ellen that she regretted everything and wanted a second chance with her.

Im two episodes ahead of you so thats why I wanted to know. Is her son with the original husband then or the second one. Its so good, I will be really upset when it ends!
