OMG OMG OMG! I can't believe what I am watching! This mum spends 4 - 12 hours on the internet chatting to her friends, she says her small baby has 'chosen junk food over health'

OMG!

no she hasn't, YOU have chosen it for her. This is going to make me judge until I can judge no more!

is the blonde lady not the mum of the teenager in the other house?

beanieb · 21/06/2009 20:47

I think the teenager is her husband's daughter from a previous relationship.

Absolutely shocking. Its made me feel so angry. I hope SS investigate.

TrinityRhino · 21/06/2009 20:48

I have never been so unhappy about something that was going on in wife swap as now

MIAonline · 21/06/2009 20:48

Her own parenting might explain it , but it doesn't excuse it. We make our own choices in life and you don't need a Phd to work out that she is making some bad ones.

fuzzypeach · 21/06/2009 20:49

this is just so sad
blonde woman would make lovely mum

sleepyeyes · 21/06/2009 20:49

I agree beanieb that some of her cleaning and tidying is a bit OTT but then it's not seriously harming anyone. I bet she would chill out if she had a child, she certainly seems to be aware on the needs of a child as well as having a fun stimulating environment.

conniedescending · 21/06/2009 20:49

oh i see beanieb - thanks

I agree she would be a fabulous mother

Hope useless one gets a visit from the social tomorrow to check that little dolly is now ok

MIAonline · 21/06/2009 20:49

I agree, wife swap has never made me cry before. (only with laughter!)

BlackLetterDay · 21/06/2009 20:50

It's a very odd episode, there have been many people who are lazy on wife swap, but no actual neglect afaic remember. I find it bewildering why the lazy woman applied to go on it

MIAonline · 21/06/2009 20:51

I think she thought she would be picked up by a record label as some singing diva

fishie · 21/06/2009 20:52

sensationalising a small child's life really fucks me off. we shouldn't have the opportunity to comment and judge. she hasn't consented to it.

conniedescending · 21/06/2009 20:52

makes you wonder if she realises the extnet of the neglect

MIAonline · 21/06/2009 20:52

It was a shame she didn't have to care for another baby in the swap house, then she might have had an opportunity to see what parenting is.

sleepyeyes · 21/06/2009 20:53

I agree MIA my dad grew up in a horrific envirmoment, neglected and starved, but he made a huge effort to be a better parent. I can never accept the excuses of oh my poor childhood crap, there are plenty of people out there that make a success of their own life's as adults after growing up in terrible environments.

TrinityRhino · 21/06/2009 20:53

but fishie hope fully she will get some help and have a better life

thats the only good thing that come from it

beanieb · 21/06/2009 20:55

The blonde is clearly really upset by the way the baby is being brought up

OP posts:
sleepyeyes · 21/06/2009 20:56

Oh dear god another child!

tiredemma · 21/06/2009 20:56

Pregnant again.

What a life.

sleepyeyes · 21/06/2009 20:57

Thats fantastic that they will foster!

nancy75 · 21/06/2009 20:59

Sleepyeyes, i agree with you, my dad was brought up by dreadful people, that he does not even call his parents, he is a brilliant dad to my brother and i and used his experiences as a child to make sure that we had the best childhood possible.

MIAonline · 21/06/2009 20:59

Just have to hope that sudden turnaround was for real and lasts, for the sake of the baby and now baby No 2.

conniedescending · 21/06/2009 21:00

another baby

but fantastic they are considering fostering

bronze · 21/06/2009 21:05

maybe she went on in the hope someone else would come along and clean her house

rookiemater · 21/06/2009 21:07

OMG, I didn't watch the start of it and am catching up on +1. That poor poor little girl. Thing is though although its shocking parenting I don't know if social services would be interested. The child is fed, although not terribly well and not abused. The truly shocking thing is that there are probably thousands of children having to live like this.

If she is a Mumsnetter then she really needs to get off the computer, deregister herself and concentrate on her daughter and unborn baby.
