OMG OMG OMG! I can't believe what I am watching! This mum spends 4 - 12 hours on the internet chatting to her friends, she says her small baby has 'chosen junk food over health'

OMG!

no she hasn't, YOU have chosen it for her. This is going to make me judge until I can judge no more!

Oh God, did you hear what she just said? She's not interacting with the child, she's on the computer

MIAonline · 21/06/2009 20:21

Is it wrong to want to hit that woman over the head with a very large hammer to try and knock some sense into her?

That poor, poor baby. She is absolutely gorgeous and obviously craving adult attention.

Twims · 21/06/2009 20:21

That poor baby - sitting in her cot on her own until 1.30 what time does she go to bed - so sad that she doesn't even call out.

gemmummy · 21/06/2009 20:22

that poor child. the husband is a wimp.

beanieb · 21/06/2009 20:22

did someone say her husband mentioned mumsnet?

OP posts:
sleepyeyes · 21/06/2009 20:23

That baby is so sweet.

nancy75 · 21/06/2009 20:24

steve need to change his name to doormat. if the baby is happy enough to play in her cot why cant lazy woman get up and tidy the house in the morning.

sleepyeyes · 21/06/2009 20:25

It was my DH who said that one of the website she mentioned she spends all day on is mumsnet.

Mintyy · 21/06/2009 20:25

Looks like neglect to me. Lets hope there is a good outcome for this poor baby. Cannot judge until the end of the programme.

MIAonline · 21/06/2009 20:25

I'd be happier if she got up and actually interacted with the baby.

gemmummy · 21/06/2009 20:25

imho that woman is a lazy bitch. I think she's an unfit mother and hope the social pay her a visit after this. fucking idiot.

beanieb · 21/06/2009 20:26

fair play to the lazy one, at least she's done all the getting up and stuff. WHat the hell is she going to do for the rule change though!

oh my god i am almost crying watching this, that poor poor baby, not gettting up til 1.30pm, and the baby just in its cot - with two bottles left in there - the cat litter tray at the bottom of the stairs overflowing, the cat crawling all over the babys formula and food surfaces, the husband saying his wife has baby 24-7 and its hard work so she deserves a lie in, telling the baby to shut up when she has ploned baby infront of telly so she can go on internet for 10 hours.....i dont need to go on but bloody hell, some people should not be allowed to have children!
i have the laptop on most of the day and flick to and from it while im doing things, or when dds are asleep, but this has just made me think im not even going to switch it on during the day now!!!!

ra29needsabettername · 21/06/2009 20:27

I found it disturbing how the baby immediately put her arms out and wanted to go the the new woman who she had never met before. Very sad but her mum I imagine was also deprived/neglected- feel a bit horrible watching it as entertainment tbh...

burningupinspeed · 21/06/2009 20:28

This is horrible, why on earth did she go on Wife Swap? Surely if ALL you wanted to do was sleep you'd see a doctor?

Is she depressed, or lazy and selfish?

tiredemma · 21/06/2009 20:28

Disgusting.

What a disgrace- she is no mother

nancy75 · 21/06/2009 20:28

so she has the energy to go out 4 nights a week, no wonder she needs a lie in. some people dont deserve children.

conniedescending · 21/06/2009 20:28

I'm absolutely disgusted with this - leaving a baby in a cot until lunchtime!!!!!! that's neglect imo

MIAonline · 21/06/2009 20:29

ra29, I agree it does make uncomfortable viewing for entertainment purposes.

MIAonline · 21/06/2009 20:30

We just have to hope that she has some sort of epiphany at the end of the swap and changes her ways.

sleepyeyes · 21/06/2009 20:30

Thats a good point about the wet nappy, if that child is regularly left in a wet nappy all morning and gets really bad nappy rash (I know that child doesn't seem to have a bad nappy rash but she is certainly at risk) because of being left for hours then that is neglect.
It can be argued that a bad diet and a baby being left in a cot for the morning is bad parenting but leaving a baby wet for hours is a horrible, lazy, uncaring neglectful thing to do.

TheArmadillo · 21/06/2009 20:31

I wonder if busy woman is going to sort out that house - I hope so. It's a lot easier for lazy woman to start keeping on top of it if it
's cleaned for her to start with. I can see her doing something.

That baby is so calm - wonder if that's how she was to start with or that is how she has been made.

No excuse for feeding her crap though - banana, toast, yoghurt is just as easy as crisps.

That baby is so gorgeous but very passive.

Turning up hour late to work is though. That would infuriate me.
