I love it.

I am not ashamed to say that i will get totally involved- even though i am too old.

Lets count how many times Louis Walsh says 'westloife'
Watch Simon Cowell look bored rigid.
They will put through a 70 year- just for fun
They will tell a 14 year old she is the next Mariah Carey- and then not put her in the finals- FOR BEING TOO YOUNG!
Everyone one will 'own the song, and make it their own'
or- 'that was a really poor song choice- i blame Louis'
A group WILL NOT WIN.
Marvel at the really poor sob stories!
About half a dozen audtionees will sing 'Valerie/you're beautiful'
Watch Cheryl Cole waste away before our very eyes (how skinny is she????)

I need to get out more

Roll on Saturday!!!

Spoiler Alert!!!

I work in the same office as Alan from Barnsley (the bloke who was incredibly nervous and had been in foster care) and I think he may have got all the way to the judges house stage. I don't know him personally but my friends ex is a manager at work and he got a call last week from X Factor asking if they can film Alan in the office which they usually only bother to do if the contestant has got quite far. I thought he was fab and so was Alexandra but I do remember her being very cocky in 2005. She seems a LOT more humble this time around.

Alan or Alexandra to win (so far!!)

Notalone · 23/08/2008 21:27

Oh, and WHY did they put Shirley, stalker of Louis through????

madcol · 23/08/2008 21:31

I know that someone on tonight has definitely got to bootcamp. She does have a sob story but didn't tell it tonight at least.

lottiejenkins · 24/08/2008 21:26

I am wondering why they are using the original version of Leons winning song and not his version????

giraffescantdancethetango · 25/08/2008 08:31

The Louis stalker is now on GMTV saying how shes obsessed with him, wants to go in a hot air balloon with him and that shes been calling his mobile.

Raahh · 25/08/2008 15:43

only got chance to see this last night (with dh refusing to let me fast forward the cringy bits).

Why did they put the stalker woman through?
I loved Alan the bloke from Barnsley- and the young irish boy- although i claim points in' x factor i-spy' for the fact the whole `michael Buble' thing has been done to death every series now, now...move on....

Bloody Dannniiiiii aka Pinchfaced Not Kylie should in my view be replaced by Annie Lennox (at least she can sing!). Can't see that happening though.

Best thing about X Factor is actually the piano music used during the programme. If anyone is interested its called "Glasgow Love theme" from the film Love Actually.

cyteen · 30/08/2008 12:52

Am ashamed to say that I'm well looking forward to watching this tonight I'm now so bored waiting for my baby to make an appearance that X-Factor has become a highlight of the weekend.

What's going to be the winning sob story tonight then? Near-death experience? Doing it for their dead parent? Tenuous link to newsworthy tragedy? Place your bets.

Raahh · 30/08/2008 16:58

lol! we have yet to see a blue rinse old lady put through...

i'm waiting for a group called 'leo' to make an appearance, as they HAVE to win ( first Leona, then Leon, then Leo...).

it's all in the name

I went to the final two years ago. They had a bit in it where the 'characters' came on a did a bit. They obviously thought they were famous and this was their big chance. They had no idea they were being used as part of a freak show. I dont like that about the show at all.
