I like it from Boot Camp onwards, but will doubtless end up watching the earlier stages too. I'd be happy if they left out the car crash auditions tbh.

I hate the blatant exploitation but we know some people who are going to be on it so have to watch. Also I fancy Simon.

Also let's watch out for:

• someone who has had someone die in their family and cannot say anything without referring to it
• someone who has had an illness/disability and overcome it - they get through the first round but fail to get through to the live finals, or if they do, they're just not very good so they go out early
• producers hyping up conflicts between dannii and cheryl, and simon and louis. Staged walk-outs of the auditions or some days when one of them isn't there and it's hinted that they've left- only they haven't really.
• Simon manipulating the likelihood that his category will win (e.g. putting together the groups from failed individual auditionees last year, when the groups are notoriously bad)

We should play I Spy and get points when each of these things happen!

Last year, by the later stages, i had formulated a drinking game for spotting all the things that crop up every episode...

I read Chart Throb too, and it did make me think. i will miss Sharon too, i think Cheryl may be a bit annoying.

I don't always watch the auditions, myself, tbh, i do tend to record it and fast forward the really cringy bits from behind a cushion... I like the bits where they go to the mentors houses- and Louis' group always get the short straw cos the others go to the u.s, spain etc- and he stays in Dublin (which is lovely, btw, but it still makes me smile).

Not to mention that Louis' group always get the short straw by having to put up with Louis. How I hate him and his loathsome crumpled spud face.

who was it on here who was going to audition and we had a great thread trying to choose her song - what happened to her? The thread stopped after the audition and we never found out. I agree about the filter thing - if you do the maths, there is no physical way the big 4 can see all of them - auditions would take about a year

well...the new judge , Cheryl Cole, seems to be flouncing...if preview is to be believed...are they pulling the same one as last year...where Louie was first not there and then came back because the new judge flounced....so...is Sharon going to come back?

I am looking forward to Cheryl standing up to Louis who is a total wanker less good judge imo. And given that Girls Aloud sacked him, and he has slagged them off publickly ever since, there could be some good slanging matches!
