Lottie I agree - although I was also a bit at the strange hopping dance, there are many reasons why someone would have his pale appearance. He could be tired, run down, hungover, man flu etc. He was never exactly glowing last year.

I'm really enjoying X Factor this year because there is a lot of talent. I particularly enjoyed Diana and Laura's performances.

Why, this year, do they announce their surnames when they are about to sing. They never did this before did they?

Alexandra and the Bolton lass are head and shoulders above the rest but you can bet your boots cheeky, cutey, sappy oeghan will get millions of cheeky, cutey, sappy votes

Alexandra and Laura are the only ones with actual pop-star talent IMO. Laura is much the most interesting, she showed fantastic tonal range.

Loathe drippy blonde lad and The Widower - they make my skin want to crawl away and burn itself.

I like Daniel..........i think he is lovely!!! The thing that drives me mad is when they do that thing with their fingers when the numbers are put up......... Little finger and thumb like a phone...... Same Difference did it last year tooooooo..........

lottie, I apologise if my throwaway comment has upset you - twas not my intention to cause offence But I stand by it in some ways because, as sweet and nice a person as he seems, Daniel has only been put through because of his tragic backstory. There is absolutely no way he would have made it through the first audition if the judges hadn't heard about his wife first - he simply isn't good enough. His voice is weak and forgettable, therefore his one defining trait in this competition is his widowed status.

Again, apologies if this seems harsh.

when I auditioned there were groups rehearsing who were far better than the groups that are there imo. Girl groups even - the two girl groups that are on this year are absolutely crap.

I like JLS though, and eogan (or however you spell it) my only concern about him is that when his voice breaks it might change.
