Potters Potterings Part 1

Howdy all.
Apologies for missing last night. Catching up now. I am sweating. Ive a goulash in the oven so the house is melting (need to have dinner early as need to work tonight then go to bed super early as I am up at half 4 to go to the airport).

Layered dessert. Can Joe turn this into a layered pie I wonder. Ooh an elimination after this round!! I 'can' bake, but I am much more of a cook.

Oh god I cannot abide Joe today. Although agree re the jelly. Ooh he is making his lady fingers. Fair play if it works. Ooh Ravi that burn!!!

Layered meringue. Sue that sounds heavenly. Please god it works. I love lemon curd. MammyPotter used to make a mean lemon meringue pie. Must give one a lash.

Ooh Lauren has a kitchen aid. Bitch!! But shes making a black forest i will forgive her. Alongside sticky toffee it's my favourite.

Oh I also love a tiramisu Shakira. Fuck me I'd be even fatter than I am if I was there. But tiramsiu for an Italian, good luck to her. And not just any Italian, Giorgio.

Weightlifter Emily's sounds promising. We shall see. It sounds difficult I'll tell ya.

Ah here, shop bought pastry Nitin, so far out of everyone I'd send him home since he is cheating and everyone else is putting proper fucking effort in.

Cheesecake, also a bit of a cop out. This needs to be an epic layered cheesecake not gonna lie. I mean any bugger can do a cheesecake.

Ooh I also love a coffee cake. I swear this round has me dead. Please god let this turn out. And don't forget the walnuts else it isn't proper. Aaand shes NOT putting walnuts. Grr. Can i lick the bowl please?

Ok the tiramsiu looks nice but basic. But it apparently tastes ok. I'm with Giorgio, always more coffee.

That trifle looks a feckin mess. Again heres hoping it tastes better than it looks. Ooh yes boozy, oh too boozy!! Dog's dinner!! 🤣🤣

The meringue looks good but flavour sounds a bit ick to me. Soft meringue, shite. Haha at her comment on Joe's

And the bottom of the dish is still on!!! And it is a bit soggy looking when they cut into it.

That coffee cake is going a bit sideways?! And possibly a bit sickly! But very coffee is excellent.

That looks very flat Emily. And the layers arent very destinct to me sorry Ravi. Ooh high praise though.

Ok Nitin its neat, but so low effort compared to everyone else so I'm still for you to go. Agreed with Ravi on flavour, I can't see it being as amazing as the other desserts. Sorry.

Ooh Lauren that looks epic. They really glossed over her though. That's unfair. I'd say it tasted amazing though.

And now.....

Comfort food..burger. I can think of better things I'd reach for as comfort food. Like shepherds pie.

I've never made a burger....describes a crazy fancy burger....... It sounds nice but leave off the mushrooms please.

That mince is very fat lacking here. That burger be dry. Ooh vension and prosecco onion rings. Gimme. Ah thank christ, fat. Why is he making batter in a pan?

Christ Lauren all burgers should be cooked through. So thank christ you are doing it medium. That burger sounds fucking rotten tho.

Chorizo and beef that sounds nice. I think I'd eat this one. Whats the odd orange in her burger tho? Thats a LOT of sauce Sue. I hate when my burger has too much sauce. It slips everywhere and drips. I end up eating it eith a knife and fork. Not good.

Ooh jerk burger. That could be nice. Hopefully that chicken isnt dry.

Sorry Nitins burger sounds depressing not comfort at all. And weird fries.......it's his to lose again.

Emily's looks a bit basic. At least it wasnt dry. I do prefer a whole breast in my chicken burgers not a chopped/minced one, so there is that. Not a big fan of mac and cheese, or I have just had shite ones.

And now the glitter is in the wine!!! I can't get past the truffle though. It would put me off. She seems to have done well though.

Thank christ they sent him home. I think it would have been so wrong to send Sue home because she's been consistently better than Nitin.

So, I have watched . My views are affected by the fact that I do fancy Nitin . And I can't eat burger. I have also really warmed to Emily C who cracks me up every time she speaks.

Firstly, I think a chicken breast IS a burger. It's the bun what does it. Her was the only meat one I would and could eat.

Secondly, I think Nitin , as an actual veggie , was doomed as veggie burgers are always dry. I like dry burgers! He himself said he had never really had a good veggie burger. I quite liked the sound of his. Agree his mille feuille was just him cutting pastry neatly really.

Joe's trifle looked - umm- rich.

I have anxiety attacks just looking at Gen Z burgers. So big, so slimy and saucy, so hard to eat.

Since when did burgers become “comfort food” in the UK? Suet pudding they ain’t.

Grace's dress was STUNNING. And yes, suet pudding is another PROPER comfort food.
