Are we really on a new thread already! Only seems like 5 minutes since the last one began.

Sarah is still in prison/on remand, (for killing Theo,) and is toughening up in there now, hanging onto snooker balls in a sock to hit someone with! One of the prisoners in there has been threatening her and her family if Sarah doesn't get Kit to help her son who is in trouble. (But Sarah has dumped Kit!)

Ma Driscoll has been getting jiggy with Brian! Ollie is in trouble for having a go at Gary's son who appeared to be assaulting Christina when she was drunk on the floor.

Tim reconnected with a cousin he hadn't seen for several decades, (Richie) who went on to kill his wife, and now Tim and Sally are looking after his daughter, and Lou and Mick's girls are back with Tim and Sally too!

We haven't seen much of Debbie lately - or Summer, which is a shame, but plenty of mardy Todd who hates the world right now.

Bernie's aunt has just turned up in the form of glamourous actress Frances Barber, and has only a few weeks to live. So she is hoping Todd can help her with a Dolly Parton themed funeral. R.I.P lovely Dolly! ❤

It will be a bit hard to find all the past Classic Corrie episodes in order, and will be a bit hard to watch them all! But if you want to start watching it - as @JewelleryCat said it's on ITV3 every weekday afternoon. They usually show 2 episodes a day, so you tend to whizz through a year in about 6 months.

Right now, David Platt is dating Tina, and Gail is dating Tina's dad Joe McIntyre. The Windasses have just come into it, Mary has just come into it too, and Deidre Barlow and her mum, Blanche, and Liz McDonald, and Betty Turpin are still in it. As is Norris and Rita. Also Janice is still in it (and she wants to be a nurse at the moment!) Rosie and Sophie are still in it too.

Carla has just left for a bit as the actress is having a baby in real life. Same with Leanne, (the actress is pregnant,) but she is about to leave soon I think. Ken is currently sneakily seeing a lady called Martha who lives on a barge. Ooooh, little Simon has just come into it too (Peter's son.) Steve McDonald has just started dating Becky Grainger after dumping Michelle, and Lloyd is dating Steve's mum Liz. Tony Gordon (and a new arrival called Luke) are currently running the factory.

As has been said, much less gloom and misery then (although there is some LOL,) and more humour and light heartedness. Far too much misery and gloom on Corrie now, and too much crime! (And too many pointless and annoying characters who bring nothing to the show. Jodie and Shona.

Well if it's possible that quads and assorted other kids are never seen but occasionally mentioned why would it be impossible that Gail had been to see Gail for a quick visit? Would we have to see her?

Obviously Gail would have been to see Sarah...not Gail. That would be ridiculous indeed.

No sillier than some of the storylines on Corrie this past few years! 😆

Did I miss the bit where Kit sought medical advice for the (as we now know) breast cancer. What symptoms did he have? I don't remember seeing anything about it.

If they're trying to raise awareness of male breast cancer, they ought to highlight the symptoms.

It's amazing how Kit has been diagnosed with it, JUST as they find out it runs in the family. What a coincidence

It was done as a 'something's going on with Kit' type thing, I suppose to get people speculating about what was going on with Kit.

I agree, if they're going to go down the PSA route, which they obviously are with the doctor saying it's always better to catch it early, they should make less of a drama out of it. As with so many of their storylines.

I don’t really understand why Kit confided in Todd (and why Todd was so persistent in chatting). He would have been better talking to Kev who has just beaten cancer himself.

Surely we could hear about Gail popping over for a weekend to see Sarah, Shona could nip into town with the baby to meet up with her offscreen. Its awkward timing with David supposedly visiting her but they could have shoehorned it in somewhere. No way in hell would Gail leave Sarah in prison without a visit.

Wasn’t Kit tested as part of the gene thing and that’s when it was discovered. ? As usual they’ve made a pigs ear of things.

No, his issues were going on before it emerged it was the BRCA type that the aunt had. Perhaps even before the aunt turned up, I can't remember. I don't think it occurred to them, the characters at least, that Kit might need testing.

I agree though, it's very clumsily done.

My mum and dad remained fabulous friends after their divorce. But my mum hadn’t slept with his brother, like Abi had. Bit harder to remain friends under those circumstances! Or to get back together- especially when the bloke is in the same pub where you go out.

David could be in France with Audrey. Gail could be in the extension or out with Sally when not prison visiting. Or upstairs minding poor Arper who she has never met?

Abi is also best friends with the Debster now she has been anointed as the reader of her eulogy

Agree about the story with Kit being done a bit clumsily. Feels a bit stilted.

David looks so much better with his new cropped hair. The great big New Romantic style bouffant that he'd been sporting for ages looks a bit daft, as he is quite a slightly built, not very tall man. The shorter, neater hair is way better on him IMO.

I just so not seen the news to keep piling stuff on to Kit. He has only been around a couple of years, we have already had his long lost son and long lost mum plus all the police stuff he is involved in.

Now we have him getting cancer and shagging Bethany in one episode.

A few weeks ago there was a brief exchange between Bethany and Kit when she commented on some blood on a t shirt in the laundry hamper. Kit said it was from a nosebleed but looked shifty. I think that was the beginning of this story line.

I don't either, I find her rather irritating.

Poor Gail, she’s missed out on:

• new granddaughter Harper
• daughter Sarah in jail on murder charge
• grandson Sam sectioned
• son David stealing Harvey’s money
• her daughter-in-law Shona cheating with Kit
• the house being burned down by her grandson Max
• her arch-rival Eileen leaving
• granddaughter Lilly being left out due to new baby

I can’t remember whether the Leanne - Nick - Toyah triangle became known before she left. If not, she’s missed her son Nick swapping sisters!
