Will she repeat Emma’s feat of coming through qualifying to win a slam? Maja’s opponent is a bit tougher than Emma’s was (Leylah was ranked around 70 if I remember correctly).

She’s just so calm on court and seems to have all the time in the world. I really hope she can keep it up in the final. Incredible.

Amazing from Maja. It’s nice to see someone just so genuinely surprised and delighted about making a final. Most of the other players in the latter stages of the tournament probably were expecting they might make it this far, and then they’re focused on winning the whole thing, Maja just seems to be enjoying the whole experience and quite rightly, it’s going to be life changing for her. I do kind of hope she wins, even though I like Mirra as well, it feels more now or never for Maja.

Probably easier for Mirra not to be facing her friend and doubles partner.
